MICROCONDENS SERIESWALL-HUNG CONDENSING GAS BOILERS
EVEN WHEN USING THEMOST ADVANCETECHNOLOGY AVAILABLE
Condensing boilers are relatively new tothe UK but have been popular inNorthern Continental Europe for manyyears. Traditional gas boilers burn fuel, creating the energy that is used to heatwater in a central heating system or fordomestic hot water. Unfortunately not allthe energy created by a traditional boileris harnessed, some ‘escapes’ in theform of water vapour mixed with exhaustgases via the flue, these fumes add togreen house gasses in the atmosphere. With condensing technology, this energyis not wasted because the watervapours condense to become wateronce again and the energy harnessedand used to provide power for the boiler. As a result, the heat normally lostthrough the flue is recycled and returnedto the main heat exchanger preventingthe useless dispersion and thereforewaste of energy.

EASY TO INSTALL WITH MICRO DIMENSIONS
At just 700mm h x 400mm w x 300mm d the microCONDENS Series areamongst the smallest condensing boilers on the market. Ariston hasdesigned ecoCombi and ecoSYSTEM to be, not only easy to install, buteasy to maintain. All components are accessible via the front of theboiler, i.e. no need to remove side panels, which has the dual benefit ofminimising the clearance space required at either side of the boiler whensiting. Both boilers are equipped with a condensate trap connected to theheat exchanger, which is accessible from outside the chassis for quickand easy maintenance. The control panel displays information from theboilers’ self-diagnostic checking sequence, enabling technicians tooptimise performance according to specific installation situations.
High performance usually results in increased pollution. This rule does not apply to the microCONDENS Series; the range featuresboth a condensing combination boiler (ecoCombi) and a condensingsystem boiler (ecoSYSTEM), both boasting a SEDBUK Band A rating.Guaranteeing a considerable reduction in fuel consumption whileensuring lower environmental impact. This means that it is easy to make an environmentally friendly decisionwhilst lowering heating bills, therefore saving money.Innovative design allows Ariston to fully exploit the advantages ofcondensing technology. Due to the pre-mix technology used in the heatexchanger, the microCONDENS Series works with a low excess of airallowing better condensing of the exhaust products to achieve a highSEDBUK Band A efficiency rating and low CO and NOx emissions.Available as an optional extra the ‘outdoor sensor’ can further increasesenergy efficiency by monitoring the weather conditions outside andmodifying the boiler settings accordingly. An advanced P.C.B. with amicroprocessor combined with intelligent software enables the boilers toselect the correct thermal curve to optimise condensing operation andefficiency.

ACCESSORIES AND SPARE PARTSENGINEERED FORPERFECT INSTALLATION
REAR-PIPING CHASSISAllows easy installation where thesystem pipes are required to run upthe rear of the boiler. The rear-piping chassis consists of abracket on which the boiler is hung, this has two flanks that extend theside panel of the boiler chassis.Assemble by just bringing forwardthe valve kit and connecting thepipes. The rear-piping chassis kit includesthe pipe work elements forconnection to the system.
JIG-KIT (ecoCombi)Supplied within the boileras standard The jig-kit makes installation easierbecause it allows you to fill thesystem even without the boiler fitted. It is equipped with 4 isolation valves:2 for the heating circuit, 2 for thedomestic water system. The system return isolation valvecan be connected to the systemcleaner using the plug provided. The bracket that holds the valvescan be positioned in two waysdepending on whether installation iswith or without the rear-pipingchassis, and allows smalladjustments for irregular walls.
The kit is supplied with:• double non-return valves on the
filling loop for filling the system;• cold domestic water inlet with three
settings:summer, winter, and off;• “end-feed” connections on copper
tail pipes to ease soldering to thesystem piping.
SYSTEM CLEANERA practical accessory for cleaningthe heating system. It is simple to use: connect thesystem cleaner to the system returnisolation valve, open the systemreturn isolation valve, switch on theboiler, allow the pump to run for thenecessary time then remove thesystem cleaner from the kit.The filter provided is made up of aremovable cartridge which absorbsany impurities in the system. This allows the flushing of a newheating system without theimpurities damaging the boilercomponents. The system cleaner can also beused to add chemical additives suchas inhibitors.
ANTI-THEFT DEVICEProtects the boiler from theft andcan be assembled in two ways: with or without the rear-pipingchassis. The simple assemblyinstructions are included in the jig-kitand on the anti-theft device itself.
OUTDOOR SENSORAn optional accessory to optimiseefficiencyThe microCONDENS Series featuresan outdoor temperature sensor toincrease energy efficiency. Thesensor monitors outsidetemperatures and conditions toassess when the boiler needs to befired to meet the pre-programmedsettings: this means the boiler willbe fired earlier if the temperatureoutside the home falls or later if itrises.
PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDRegulates the sophisticatedmanagement and control functions: • flame control• water control• overheating switch-off device• anti-frost safety device• maximum heating power adjustment• “soft-light” gas pressure adjustment• anti-cycling device: adjustment of
minimum switch-off and switch-ontime to between Ø and 2 minutes(during the heating stage)
• combustion analysis device.
