Get ready!Getyourpetreadybeforeit’stoolate.Followthesestepstogetyourpetdisasterready:

1. Build a Kit–Gathersuppliesforyourpetandstoretheminaportablecontainerthatiseasytomanage,likeaplasticbinordufflebag.

2. Make a Plan–Designatealocalemergencycontactwhocancareforyourpetifyoucan’ttakethemwithyou,oridentifyasafeplaceforthemtostaylocallylikeashelterorclinic.Identifyanout-of-towncontactwhocanhouseyourpettemporarily.

3. Stay Informed–Ifadisasteroccurs,bepreparedtosetyouremergencyplaninmotion.

No pets allowed!Duetohealthandsafetyconcerns,mostsheltersdonotallowpetsunlesstheyarecertifiedserviceanimals.Haveaplanforwhattodoifyoucan’ttakeyourpetwithyou.
