NEWS &

HAPPENINGS

Fri, Oct 6High School inSession

With the addition of our high school music classes to theschedule I would like to encourage all of the Juniper Ridgestudents (and parents!) to form the habit of having theirinstrument at school EVERY day. I hope this policy will easesome confusion that trying to remember the daily schedulemay cause. A student without an instrument will miss criticalskill building and discipline lessons that are difficult to makeup.

Stands: a stand at home is a helpful tool. Wire stands arerelatively inexpensive and store well and it is suggested thateach student have one for at home practice. All studentsattending the new classes in the Lowell building champus(7th and Grand champus) are encouraged to bring their wirestands to school this week.

All instrumental classes 5th through 7th grade have finishedreview studies and have moved forward with new musicbeing distributed next week. They should have their blackmusic folder and music book stored in their backpack at alltimes. Forgotten music is very disruptive to the music class. Please assist your student with this habit!

Ms. Manee, Mr. Labig, and myself are very excited to beginour music classes with the upper grades this week! We willbe working on the students getting to know each other andlearning to work together in our new ensemble settings, adwell as setting goals and expectations.

Time to practice!
