MHS.05The High Sensitivity Sensor

The all new HDL-KNX MHS.05 takes bus sensor technology to a new level.

Size is always a constraint, and the latest building designs demand smaller footprints, more control and user functionality, whilst maintaining low costs.

The HDL-KNX MHS.05 easily meets the challenge. With greater flexibility, affordability and more features, the number of devices required to meet functional specification is significantly reduced.

Temperature can be monitored to allow a room to maintain a preset, and lux levels can be monitored to maintain brightness set point through constant dimming.

On board inputs allow standard voltage-free devices to be fed into the sensor, allowing control from other devices. With this feature, standard bell press switches can be used, giving the user on/off and dim up/down functionality from a single low cost switch, rather than a higher cost bus switch, which over

MAPPING Powerful mapping capabilities enable parameters to be exported to the bus - more information coming from the sensor can be controlled, and used in combination with other bus devices such as lux or occupancy time.

TEMPERATURE An inbuilt temperature sensor for the automatic control of blinds allows a signal to be sent to the BMS to open or close blinds.

CONSTANT DIMMING The sensor monitors lux levels, and constantly adjusts the lighting output level to maintain the brightness set point, therefore saving energy when natural light is available to maintain a desired pre-set lux level.

INPUT CHANNEL 1Input controls give the system options on what type of switch is required. The ability to connect a standard

Australian plate switch via two wires saves on more costly bus switches.

INPUT CHANNEL 2The second channel allows the option to connect a micro or limit switch, enabling room connection function.

PE CELLHaving an onboard PE cell gives more precise lux control, from simple ON/OFF to dead band control for highbay lighting. The constant dimming function utilises time and hysteresis logic resulting in greater energy saving. RANGE A 9 metre sensing range means the HDL-KNX MHS. 05 is ideal for large offices.

MOUNTING Designed to fit standard conduit boxes, the HDL-KNX MHS.05 is suitable for form work connection.

a large project can add up to many thousands of dollars.

Both scene and group control can be triggered withexisting I/O. For example, lighting for a large room, normally divided in two with bi-fold doors, can be controlled by connecting a micro switch door contact to the sensor. This allows the sensor to group the lights so that they can be controlled by one switch, enabling the area to expand.

The HDL-KNX MHS.05 is a powerful new two channel sensor boasting superior technology.
