MGA presents its brand new, modern, stylish and fully integrated balustrading & railing systems. The Crystaline

Balustrading & F50 Railing Systems.

These all new systems are based on an extremely simple design and constructional concept: a tubular system of anodized or polyester powder

coated aluminum, which is elaborately bonded with connectors and supports creating a discrete, distinctive and highly aesthetic result.

Its metal elements fit in harmony together forming an extremely elegant, beautiful, and inspiring look. They can optionally be combined with a variety of

Lexan® polycarbonate sheets or glass, offering unlimited options for numerous architectural applications.

The INOX type series, aluminum profiles and accessories have gone under an advanced anodizing treatment, producing a thickness grade of at least 20 microns characterized by unique properties: extreme hardness - second only to diamond - and unique stainless steel finish. The series offers substantial competitive advantages over stainless steel systems: high aesthetics, lightweight and lower cost.

For color lovers, F50 Railing System is offered in a wide range of powder coating, RAL, special, mat, textured and wood imitation. The powder coating production is approved and ensures that all process are qualicoat seaside class certified.

The F50 Railing System applications are unlimited and offer unique solutions to contemporary and traditional architecture. Some of them

are:

• Balcony railings and outdoor stair railings, with unique appearance and durability to the various environmental conditions. Suitable

for modern houses and commercial buildings, outdoor hotel cites (such as balconies, pools etc), public places especially practical

in big cities (such as metro stations, museums etc).

• Indoor stairs railings and houses’ and business building’s interior (such as hotels, restaurants, coffee shops etc)

Anodizing successfully combines science with nature to create one of the best natural finishes available for aluminum. It is an electrolytic process used to increase the thickness & the hardness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of aluminum parts.

THE PROCESS F50 Railing System is anodized according to the Sulfuric acid method and the production meets the standards for moderate thickness coatings MIL-A-8625 Type II .

Anodizing

Warm natural wate and a mild soap is enough for cleaning F50 anodized parts .In Small parts a soft cloth can be also used. If there is fat remaining, a soft cloth and white spirit can be used. Wash properly by using natural water

Acid or alkaline cleaners are not recommended because it may cause coating damage. Sandpaper, or other abrasive materials should not be used in order to remove dirt.

How often parts should be cleaned? Cleaning frequency should be between once a month up to once every six months, depending on the application and the environment were F50 is exposed.

Benefits of AnodizingAnodizing is a unique finish which fulfils high quality standards and has significant advantages:

Great Resistance. Extremely long service life and low maintenance costs.

Color stability. Anodizing offers highly resistant to UV radiation and doesn’t flake or crack.

Ease of maintenance. F50 anodized parts can easily be cleaned and remain brand new by using natural water, a mild soap and soft cloth.

High aesthetics. Unlike other finishes, anodizing allows the aluminum to maintain its metallic appearance, similar to inox steel.

Low cost. Installation and maintenance cost is much lower compared to inox steel.

Safe and Durable. Anodizing is a chemically stable process. It is not toxic, does not decompose and is highly resistant to heat.

Paint FinishPolyester powder coating protects from corrosion and offers high aesthetic appearance.

A quality coating is applied (QUALICOAT) - Sea-side Class. The introduction of quality certification QUALICOAT ensures that: • Coating unit has the proper equipment and follow this process and approved• Coating unit is obliged to implement any new requirement of specifications required by the evolution of technology and know-how acquired. • Coating unit on a daily basis checks the quality of products produced and follows specific standards as defined by the relevant specifications. 4

Adjustable on floor glass support systemAdjustable on floor glass supporting system with aluminium profiles, ideal for the construction of glass railings on a floor or parapet. Bases are placed on a special guide for better support and system adjustment. Caps and covers are placed over the clamps for a high quality complete finish. The system is suitable for 16 or 20mm glass thickness and for 1000 - 1100mm high.

Assembly StepsFor 1000mm wide piece of glass three bases should be used. These are placed on a special aluminium guide (track) and fixed in position. The glass is inserted and then the end caps and covers are attached.

In-floor glass support systemThe in-floor glass support system is placed in the ground. The base is covered by aluminium covers and special waterproof gaskets at the same level as the final floor. This system is suitable for 16 or 20mm thick glass at a height of 1000 - 1100mm.

Assembly StepsFirstly, the special guide is placed in the ground where the in-floor glass support system will be fixed. The concrete is poured around the perimeter of the guide while the final height is adjusted, according to the final floor’s height by using an additional profile. Once the final floor is settled, the covers and the waterproof gaskets are fixed.

Handrails

Crystaline Handrail SystemsThe crystaline handrail system is suitable for 16 or 20mm glass polished on the edge. The crystaline handrail range is made up of three different profiles as seen in the images below. As you will see from image 3 & 4 the one profile type can be used in two different ways by using two differ-ent bracket types.

Thanks to the use of the new handrails the crystaline railing system offers security and modern aesthetic shape. The handrails are optional and are available in RAL, wood imitation, special colour and anodized brushed (type inox).

The MGA F50 Ezi-rail is a pre fabricated balustrade post system manufactured to enable the construction of high quality glass balustrades easily & speedily. It is constructed using the high quality F50 railing compo-nents and with just three post types it covers nearly all eventualities. It is available as standard in two post heights, 900 & 1050mm which become 950 & 1100mm high when the 50mm handrail is added. As seen below it can be used on stairs and balconies. Simply erect the posts and screw the handrail to the handrail brackets. A full description of the handrail system and all its components can be seen from page 22 onwards.
