First Circular and Call for Abstracts

Dear Colleagues,We are pleased to invite you to participate in the International Scientific Congress “MODERN DIRECTIONS IN CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY, PHARMACY AND BIOTECHNOLOGY” that will be held 29 September-2 October, 2015 in Lviv, Ukraine. Congress will be held in Main building of Lviv Polytechnic National University (12 St. Bandery Str.)

TOPICSAll areas of congress focus will be put on the following topics:

• organic chemistry;• supramolecular chemistry and biology;• nanotechnology; crystal and inorganic chemistry; biology and bioorganic chemistry; computational chemistry: methods and application; biotechnology and humic substances; synthesis and creation of new biologically active substances and

pharmaceutical drugs; analytical chemistry; economic aspects: theory and practice.

Poster, brief oral presentations and articles in book are welcomed. Abstracts and articles are accepted without reviewing. Duration of an oral presentation will be approximately 30 minutes.

ABSTRACT AND ARTICLE PREPARATION

Proceedings of the congress include a collection of abstracts and book of articles. Abstracts and articles should be prepared in English, in electronic form. Abstract – 1-2 pages, article – up to 5 pages. The following file formats are acceptable: Microsoft Word document (doc) and black-and-white picture (wmf or compressed tiff, the later with resolution 300 dpi).Abstracts and articles should be formatted according to the following requirements:

• A4 paper format;• 2 cm horizontal and vertical margins;• affiliation of each author should be clearly indicated using lower-case letters in

superscripts (a, b, c etc.);• presenting author’s name should be underlined;• 12pt Times-family font;• single-spaced text.

DEADLINE All participants are required to register for the conference and pay the

registration fees. Registration will open after 20 th April, 2015 . The deadline for registrations is 1 st August, 2015 . The deadline for abstracts and articles submission is 1 st September, 2015 .

LOCATION

Lviv is located in the western part of Ukraine, 80 kilometres away from the border of Poland. Its population is approximately 735,000. Lviv has good air, train and bus connections with a number of countries. Lviv International Airport is located 6 km from downtown Lviv. Convenient and good-quality accommodation is available in hotels of different prices. Congress will be hosted by Lvіv Polytechnic National University which is the leading scientific institution in Western Ukraine.

For students and young scientists it is possible to accommodate at the Hotel of Lviv Polytechnic National University 13 Euro (200 UAH/day)VISA REQUIMENTS: At the moment, no visa is required for citizens of USA, EU, and NIS countries.

REGISTRATION FEE

Registration fee: 300 Euro – for foreign participants(full participation) 150 Euro – for foreign PhD students and young scientists

100 Euro – for foreign students

Registration fee (full participation) for participants from Ukraine – 2000 UAH; for PhD students and young scientists, students – 1000 UAH.

Absentee participation - 30 Euro (for all participants), which covers electronic variant of Collection of Abstracts and Book of Articles.

Registration fee for all participants should be paid by cash at the conference site or paid an account (details of payment will inform in the 2nd Circular). The credit cards are not accepted at the conference site. Registration fee covers participation, coffee breaks, printed Collection of Abstracts and Book of Articles, conference dinner, lunches and city excursion, transfer. However, this fee does not cover accommodation.
