If you need a replacement recycling box, sack, orroll of food bags, you can request them onlineby visiting www.calderdale.gov.uk/recycling

Put two extra cans in your white sack and you’ll save enough energy to run a computer for up to 12 hours. What happens to the metal we recycle? It might be used to make cans, electrical goods, or even a bus – the possibilities are endless. Plus it uses a lot less energy to recycle metals than creating them from raw materials.

Best of all, it doesn’t take a lot to make a big difference. Just pop your metals into your white sack every week – not the black wheelie bin. It’s that easy.

Do I need to clean them or take anything off?All your tins, cans and foil need is a quick rinse. Pop any lids inside the can. You don’t need to remove any labels.

Plus you can now recycle clean foil and empty aerosols every week in your white sack,

along with your tins and cans, saving even more energy and making an even

bigger difference.

Every week you can also recycle.

*Please put in a carrier bag (no charity bags).

Please remember to wash & squash your cans!
