Initial situation The national road DN1C connects the cities of Dej and Baia Mare. Total length ofthe road is 86,49 km and due to an increase in traffic, had to be rehabilitated. Onseveral sectors the road was enlarged to 3 lanes. In some areas slopestabilization measures were necessary due to topography and geology.

Description The designing office asked Geobrugg to provide an alternative solution toretaining walls, a solution which also could be revegetated. TECCO ® SYSTEM³ waschosen and dimensioned to stabilize a total of 2600 m² of newly cut slopes.
