Leaders Express

ƤOn October 11th Mt. Cal-vary’s Mission and Ministry Council, Elders, School Board, and Foundation Board gathered at a leaders retreat. Pastor Mark Jeske facilitated the discussion and process of how we can shape our congregation’s future. Here’s what participants said about the event:

“Pastor Jeske brought more than 30 years of experience at renewing an urban Lu-theran church; we were very blessed to have him with us.”

“There was a spirit of unity in the room as we talked about our congregation’s future.”

“I was again reminded how blessed I am to be a part of a church like Mt. Calvary.”

“People were here because they love this church.”

“The big takeaway for me is that Mt. Calvary’s best days are in front of us. That says a lot when you realize what amazing things have been done here in the past 90 years” Pastor Czaplewski

“Feeling the passion and commitment of those pres-ent and what it represents overall- I am convinced our Church is not dead! It is alive and has a destiny that our Lord has put before us! We just have to trust Him and He will show us the Way.” Vicky

Liberacki

“The window is still open. Now is the perfect time to move boldly forward with the proclamation of the Good

News of salvation to a world that is just dying to hear it.” Allen Neuwirth

“The meeting was one step in laying the ground work for the future of Mt. Calvary.” Steve Wachs

“Through Pastor Jeske’s leadership I learned how important it is to pray for the Lord’s guidance every day as we share “His Good News” with the Sherman Park neighborhood and the world.” Larry Swanke

“In order to have a vision at Mt. Calvary, we need to know who we are, look to see where God is working, and trust God to lead and guide us. Saturday’s session was a great start!” Gary Felsing

Students are individually greeted every day as they start school. Here Carrie Miller, Principal and Cindy Wachs, Kindergarten Teacher are shaking hands
