I hope everyone had a great holiday season and Santa was good to you all. December was an ex- tremely busy month with all the activities and I have a lot of thanking to do. The Rib Krauter was a huge success thanks to Jeff Youngmark and crew. The dinner was great and the drinks were flowing thanks to our bartenders Dave Althausen, Dave Eddy, Dave Buse and John Fabiani. A special thanks to Romeo Losoya, his daughter Karen and grand- daughter Jenna for raising money for our VeteransWall Josh Mello did a fabulous job with the many steak sandwiches he prepared for our State Presidents visit. The lodge was packed with visitors from all over the state. We had a great turnout for the Memorial Service and dinner. Thank you Bill and Fran Hurt, Gary and Liz Ruport and Chuck and Kim Kolb. We brought back the popular Beef Wellington Dinner and although I had prior commitments, I heard nothing but great comments. Great job Dave Eddy and crew! Our Dinner with Santa was AWESOME! Thank you Malcom Fenner; youre the best Santa. Bruce Newman, Don Hall, Doug Wharton and Sonny Dodds cooked a very tasty Ham Dinner! Thanks gentleman. I also want to give a shout out to all the Wednesday night cooks, Friday night cooks and Taco Tuesday cooks. You all help so much and I am very thankful for your support. We have Birthday Night on January 15 th for October, November and December birthdays. Bill Hurt is going to smoke ribs for us so please RSVP to office by January 11 th . Lets make 2016 a GREAT NEW YEAR by bringing in new members. PER night is February 24 th and it would be great to have 20 new members for them to initiate! WOODLAND ELKS 1299 PRESENTS POKER MANIA 2015-16

We will have our TEXAS HOLD’EM POKER TOURNAMENT on Saturday, January 23. The tournament will start at 12 noon and end no later than 4pm. We are eliminating the $ 5.00 chips. The minimum chip will be $25.00. This will speed things up a little . To compensate we are increasing the amount of chips the players will receive from $1500.00 to $2000.00. The price of a buy-in will remain at $10.00 with the chance to make a second buy-in within the first hour of play. Prize money will be awarded depending on the number of players in each tournament. Lunch will be available for a mini-mal fee. The dates for the 2 tournaments we have planned are as follows:

JANUARY 23 FEBRUARY 27

Points will be awarded to each player as to where they place in each tournament depending on the number of players we have. If we have 18 players, 18 points will be awarded for first place, 17 for second etc. At the end of the February tournament, a trophy along with A GRAND PRIZE will be awarded to the player with the most points. The prize money for the individual tournaments will be awarded after each tournament. It is highly possible to miss a tournament or 2 and still win the grand prize. Profits from the tournaments will go to ELKS MAJOR PROJECT. Remember.....YOU MUST CALL THE ELKS OFFICE OR ME TO RESERVE A SEAT FOR EACH TOURNAMENT BY THE TOURNAMENT DEADLINE. NO CALL=NO SEAT. (530)662-9138 or (530)908-7632. The deadlines will be e-mailed to you or you can call the office.
