If there be any truer measure of a man than by what he does, it must be by what he gives

EditorialEditorialEditorialEditorial

The Covid-19 Virus has nullified the power of 2020- a year full of

challenges, fears, tears, insecuries and uncertaines. The year passed

away, just like a fisul of sand passes through the fingers, amidst a series

of lockdowns, shutdowns, quarannes, social distancing and masking.

Many of us have paused a bit and thanked the universe, have stopped by

to appreciate the beauty of nature, to inhale the fragrance of jasmine,

kissed the green leaves in the garden, listened to the chirping birds who

have become our regular visitors for last few months and we have fed

them happily. Many of us have fallen in love with the birds with the

innocence of nature.

(Hero Gyanchandani)

Covid-19 has also made us more capable than before, capable of finding

alternaves for everything; to learn & hone new skills, to follow

interesng hobbies, and, last but not the least, to spend quality me with

friends & family. Hence, we can rightly say that our post-pandemic selves

would be beer versions of ourselves.

As we have been taught from our childhood to find out the silver linings

amidst thick darkness, we have le no stone unturned to switch on our

inner lights during this worst blackout of Covid-19 pandemic. We have

tamed ourselves to stay calm, cool and posive in all circumstances

leaving behind all the bier memories and bad habits in us.

We have really learned to dance in the rain without waing for the storm

to pass. Covid-19 situaon has taught us, “Life is not a midsummer night’s

dream, somemes there will be tempest too, just do good to yourself

and to others and be in the moment, that’s life.” It has made us realize

that there is nothing more precious than health, so stay healthy, fall in

love with nature, try to keep yourself busy so that you won’t get me to

think negavely.

The situaon in Sant Nagari(Bhopal) was geng worsened with every

passing day as the number of COVID cases were increasing significantly.

Realising our social responsibility for saving the precious lives of all human

beings, Rev. Siddh Bhauji wisely suggested to make ‘Sewa Sadan Eye

Hospital’, ‘Arogya Kendra’ & few of our schools at Sant Nagari(Bhopal)

as ‘Covid Vaccinaon Centres’ for vaccinang the local residents totally

free of cost on all 7-week days. The impacul appeal of Rev. Siddh Bhauji

can be well noced when our centres were fully occupied & most of the

residents of Sant Nagari(Bhopal) and nearby areas have been vaccinated.

The Corona-19 Virus has made us more kind, compassionate, spiritual,

decisive, firm, strong-minded and purposeful than before. Knowingly or

unknowingly we have been lted more towards good deeds, thinking of

good results. Starng from healthy cooking, doing yoga, sanizing hands

every hour, maintaining distance from others, wearing masks and

avoiding unnecessary oung; we have learned to become happy and to

celebrate the lile joys in life.

SAND AND STONE

They kept on walking unl they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one, who had been

slapped, got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. Aer the friend recovered

from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: “TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.”

The other friend replied: “When someone hurts us, we should write it down in sand where winds of

forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone

where no wind can ever erase it.”

The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, “Aer I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and

now, you write on a stone, why?”

Learn to write your hurts in the sand and to carve your benefits in stone!

A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an

argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without

saying anything, wrote in the sand: “TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.”

Did universal charity prevail, earth would be a heaven, and hell a fable.

ACTIVITIES OF SHYNCH (AROGYA KENDRA) UNDER STRESS…AND YOU ARE ALONE

As I sat down my breathlessness disappeared

altogether. When H H Gurdevji arrived in the mandir, He

saw me but did not bless me as usual. I was rather

surprised.

One Sunday early morning, I was all alone in middle of a

jungle. I developed severe pain behind mid-sternum

associated with severe breathlessness, my BP was low

and pulse rate was 40 per minute only; obviously I had a

heart problem. I was totally immobilised; could not take

a single step. It was stony floor, no place to sit down. I

was gasping for breath; it seemed that I was at verge of

death. Looking back to the hospital where I was serving

the poor, I realised there was no one in the hospital as all

the inmates including doctors on duty had gone to the

mandir to aend aar. There was only one opon to

move forward towards the mandir; but it seemed to be

an impossible task.

When aar was over all the devotees were asked to

queue up and pay homage to the icons of all the past

Spiritual Masters of Anandpur Durbar and also H H

Gurdevji. It baffled me that H H Gurdevji did not bless

me again. I le the mandir forthwith and went to

meditaon centre about a half a kilometre away on top

of a hill. It was a heroic effort to climb the hill while I was

gasping for breath. I said to myself, if H H does not

I stood totally sll at one point for 10 to 15 minutes and

chest pain eased off. I remembered His Holiness

Gurdevji and Yoga of Wisdom dawned in my heart. I

realised that the pain and breathlessness affected my

senses but I felt peaceful and tranquil in my heart. I did

not feel anxious and did not feel that I was going to die in

the forest where my flesh will be eaten by wild dogs and

vultures. I was sll very breathless.

Awareness of my true identy empowered me to

muster determinaon and will power. I recited Naam

connuously and propelled myself towards the mandir

though I was gasping for breath with every step. It took

me 40 minutes to reach the mandir that was about a

kilometre away.

There are various Yogas to aain Yoga of Wisdom but the
