you to take time to participate in the family activities

listed in this calendar. Our prayer is for you to

experience true joy as you celebrate the birth of

Jesus this Christmas season. Merry Christmas!

Each day enjoy this special time with your preschooler! After completing the day’s activity, your preschooler will be able to put a sticker on top of one

of the ornaments on the Christmas tree.

1 Commit to pray as a family to keep Jesus the focus of this Christmas.

Take a family Christmas photo to send to family or friends.

Let your child select a toy for someone from the Angel Tree in the Rotunda at church.

Decorate your Christmas tree.

Make cheese sandwiches and cut them with Christmas cookie cutters.

Look at pictures of Bethlehem on the internet or in a book.

Visit an outdoor manger scene in your community.

Read a favorite Christmas book with your child.

Invite a friend to attend Christmas Celebration.

Set up a non-breakable manger scene with only the figure of Mary.

Add the Joseph figure to the scene. Talk about the angels’ messages to Mary and Joseph.

Do something kind for someone in your family.

Take a nighttime drive to look at Christmas lights.

Guide your family to role-play the Christmas story.

Bake Christmas cookies to share.

Let your child help make or send Christmas cards.

Sleep by the Christmas tree. (Turn off the lights after the children fall asleep.)

Enjoy a candlelight pizza dinner with the family.

Add the Baby Jesus figure to the manger scene. Read the Christmas story from the Bible (Luke 2:1-7).

Take a nighttime walk outside to look at the stars. Talk about the night Jesus was born.

Let your child choose food to give to the food pantry.

Watch a favorite Christmas movie as a family.

Write thank you notes as a family for gifts.

Put Christmas photos in an album. Thank God for Christmas and for His Son, Jesus.

Plan a family game night.

Attend a Christmas Eve service at 4:00 or 5:30 p.m. as a family.

Add shepherd figures to the manger scene.

Decorate an outside tree with treats for the birds.

Sing Christmas carols around the Christmas tree.

Make paper stars and talk about the wise men following the star.

Work as a family to put away Christmas decorations.
