Listed below are the Term 1/2020

commencement dates & number of lessons that

will be conducted. Your Term 1/2020 invoice

will reflect and be adjusted accordingly as a

result of the allocated number of lessons.

Invoices are sent to you via email or mail stating

your child’s day & time on it. Lesson day & time

will remain the same unless we notify you

otherwise.

Please call/email us prior to Friday 10/1/2020

should you wish to request any day or venue

changes, as classes will be finalized and invoices

emailed in the week beginning 13th January

2020. If you are not intending to return to coaching next

year, please have the courtesy to notify us ASAP, as a place

is being held for you. We can then advise people who may

be on a waiting list of available vacancies.

We wish to advise some increases to our pricing structures as a

result of the standardised professional coaching association

recommendations/review. Please note based on this information,

we are still charging below the RRP in nearly all of our programs

offered. All prices are GST inclusive.

JUNIOR GROUP COACHING: ($1 increase— first increase since 2016) $135.00— per 9 week term ($5 discount for 2nd/3rd /4th child continues to apply) CARDIO TENNIS ($1 increase)

$15 per session if booked in a term block $20 per session casual bookings HOT SHOTS TOURNAMENTS $22.50 per tournament (x2 per term)

-AUSTRALIAN OPEN BALLKID VOLUNTEER-

As a Ballkid, you work within a fun and energetic team to assist players during matches with the retrieval and distribution of tennis balls, and be there to serve up your best rolls. Extreme Tennis will again be hosting Level 1 trials @ USTC on behalf of Tennis Australia in late March 2020.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MANY EXTREME TENNIS YOUNG GUNS WHO WERE SUCCESSFUL IN REACHING THE TRAIN ON SQUAD, SOME OF WHICH HAVE MADE THE 2020 AO SQUAD &

KOOYONG CLASSIC BALLKID TEAM.

These kids have undertaken extensive training sessions all year and are to be acknowledged for making it into the final squad of 350 kids out of over 2500 original applicants! Bear in mind that out of the total approx. 130 are “new” / first time Ballkids.

To those who trialled and were successful in reaching the Level 2 and or the Train On Squad, please apply again. Your experience will hold you in good stead next year. Persistence pays off!

Cardio Tennis Adult Workout

Combining music, exercise, tennis and com-petition! Cardio workout sessions have been a hit for over 15 years & will return in 2020!Currently there are over 30 adults involved in

the program.

Sessions are conducted:

Tuesday mornings 9.30-10.30am @ Ferny Creek TC Monday (Inter-Adv) & Tuesday evenings (Beg-Inter) 7.30-8.30pm & Friday mornings 9.30-10.30am @ Upwey South T/C . We are also looking at starting a class on Monday mornings 9.30-10.30am @ USTC.

Game, Set & match as our own Extreme Tennis ANZ Tennis Hot Shots juniors will hit the courts again on TUESDAY 21st JANUARY 2020! The kids will take part in a demonstration /exhibition of their skills for the general public/spectators. A fabulous experience for all – with lots of fun involved, along with the bonus of the children staying on at the AO to watch the day’s action on all the courts!

What is Tennis 4 Teens?

Tennis 4 Teens is a non-competitive, stress-free, fun, social program that offers participants activities both on and off court. Tennis 4 Teens is a program designed by teens, for teens and has the following values at its core. Youth have a “say” in the activities con-ducted in a session. Racquets can be supplied—no experience necessary!

• Social element pre and/or post on court play

• Flexible i.e. drop in/out/Pay As You Go

• 1 – 1 1/2 hours per session (including all social activities)

• Active Facilitator

• Use of an online platform to sign up This has all been made possible as a result of the funding we received from VicHealth to develop a program that encourages youth aged between 12-17 years to be active in a non-competitive/social environment. Did you know that over 5 million Australians have played tennis at some point in their life but don't currently? All too often we hear them say "I love tennis ... I used to play." This Summer, commencing Term 1, we're targeting these lapsed players and giving them a chance to bring their love for the game back onto the court. We're asking them to Get Your Racquet On! @ their local club - with our biggest ever marketing campaign to promote social offerings for adult players.

FORMAT:

MORNING SESSION: 9:00 - 12:30pm (includes lunch)

FOCUS: Skill development

Technique – correction and analysis, physical training, sportsmanship, court etiquette, fun,

games & prizes.

AFTERNOON SESSION: 12:00 - 3.30pm (includes lunch) FOCUS: Tournament/Match play

All Hot Shots pupils rally & score. Hot Shots starter tournaments are a great way for pupils

to experience the thrill of match play in a multi-match round robin format. Pupils play in

their own colour ball programs/levels - red, orange and green- against players of similar

ages under qualified coach supervision.

11+ age group will play round robin using normal yellow balls.

Tactical aspects of the game are also discussed via feedback from coaches.
