It originates from sport shooting but is also ideal for stalking, high seat and driven hunts: The thumbhole stock of the HELIX SPORTSTER makes it quick and easy to grasp – before and after firing. The ergonomics of this thumbhole stock were specially optimised for the straight-pull action of the Helix system.

The Helix for the grand stage of driven hunt: This premium rifle will win over the connoisseur in every way. As for wood, it is the finest rifle in the HELIX range. Grade 7 wooden stocks with filled pores and a true oil finish. Combined with the fluted barrel, the rifle saves on weight and exudes class. And the fine touches: The small pistol-grip cap and the fore-end, with the characteristic Merkel Schnabel, are made of ebony. The cherry on top: the gold-plated trigger.

The rule of accuracy – the adjustable cheek piece on the butt was developed for quick target acquisition. Both telescopic legs are fixed with recessed socket screws (optional: knurled screws). Adjusted once, this stock fits like a glove.

MAGAZINEQuick follow-up shots: 3+1 rounds are standard with HELIX but on top of that Merkel now provides 5+1 round standard calibre and 4+1 round mini-calibre magazines. The robust magazines are made of sheet steel. Even without magazine the HELIX is usable as a single-shot rifle – and remains ready to use in all conditions.

CAMOUFLAGEBecome one with nature: HELIX has the right stock for hunting in the wilderness thanks to the camouflage effects. This synthetic stock with soft-touch significantly dampens recoil, is robust and creates the visual condi-tions for the hunter to get close to the game.
