6• RANGE MAGAZINE WINTER 2015 Outback Roundup 2014 Merit Awards, Part II H ere are the final merit award winners of the 2014 Outback Roundup photo contest. This was a tough year for the judges and we hope 2015 will be even more challenging. There’s always cash for the big winners and many other entries ended up throughout RANGE and our Real Bucka- roo calendar. Right now we’re asking you to get involved in 2015. You don’t have to be a serious photographer and you don’t need a big expensive camera (but please no phone photos). Very often a great picture just happens right before your eyes. You only need to be ready for it. Rules and entry form are on page 46 or can be down- loaded at www.rangemagazine.com. (Check Summer 2014 and Fall 2014 to see previous winners.) Deadline is Feb. 6, 2015. So get out there and shoot.—John Bardwell Ghost cows in a blizzard at the Palo Blanco Ranch in Colfax County, New Mexico. © Chesna Smith, Raton, New Mexico
