I do hope you get to enjoy a relaxing and hopefully rejuvenating family time this Christmas holiday season. Christmas is time to reflect, reconnect with family and friends and take time to consider the new year to come and what it could mean for each of us. The past year has been a very busy one as we have prepared for and welcomed the NDIS with all it promises for people with disability in Australia. It has also been a time of great pressure on our services as we have maintained ongoing services while still waiting to receive funding. A large number of participants still do not have approved plans, and a great deal of time has to be committed by managers and families to sort out these problems. I trust our team has been able to assure you of our ongoing support and willingness to continue to meet your needs. Subscribe Past Issues RSS Translate

NDIS UPATE

At Mercy Connect many NDIS plans have come through already We are still waiting on Victorian DHS participants firstplan meetings and implementation

Sheryl Meredith Clinical Governance Implementation Coach says they have taken on 40 support coordination servicesfrom both internal and external participants of Mercy Connect Although the process hasnt run smoothly we still have

some work to do such as building new and innovative rosters to reflect the plans enabling each participant choiceincreased level of participation and 11 supports where required

We are in the process of tracking down a number of referrals for support coordination for several clients to enable us toget the bookings into Proda so we can start claiming A number of participants have had their plans reviewed as the

money they had was insufficient to enable them to receive the support they need

Managers are unpacking the NDIS plans and are looking at the range of supports available to participants

If you havent received a plan yet or have any further enquiries please contact Sheryl by phoning reception on 02 60433500 or emailing directly to SuzanneHoganmercyconnectorgau
