And be it for true off-roaders or sporty drivers looking to achieve precision at the limits, all Driving Events take place at specially selected locations, are led by experienced professionals and, of course, let you choose from a wide range of attractive Mercedes-Benz models. Those who want to achieve their own personal targets with even more efficient training will be pleased to learn that Mercedes-Benz Driving Events include individual coaching focusing on a range of aspects – from professional driver training to fully personalised off-road days.

Famous racetracks, professional testing and training areas and specially prepared off-road courses await you at the summer training events. In winter, the Mercedes-Benz Driving Events take you to attractive destinations in

Individual Coaching SummerSide by side with a professional, achieve your own personal target step by step. On this individual training course, you decide the focus of your training. Dynamism, Intelligent Drive, driving safety – savour a whole day of overcoming the challenges of your choice together with your personal instructor. The course can be booked as one-to-one coaching or as an individual coaching session for two to four people. Groups of three or more will be provided with an additional vehicle.

Sports Race Track TrainingReaching the highest level of success in Onroad Summer training requires nerves of steel and absolute concentration. Well prepared with the theory under your belt and the tips from the professionals fresh in your mind, it’s on to 14 intensive hours on the race track over the course of two days. Charged with adrenaline, you experience sheer driving pleasure and high dynamics as you perfect your drifting in bends. Experience a true race track feeling on instructed drives. Continuous training allows you to find the perfect racing line. Achieve maximum performance at the limit!

Race Track TrainingMaximum concentration, fast reactions and focused precision. Experience the sporty side of driver training on this intensive training course for beginners on the race track. The handling course is available for a warm-up. Then you get closer to the perfect racing line lap by lap and find the optimum braking points. As you gain in experience, you get to know the sections of the track and the speeds at which the vehicle oversteers or under-steers. Professionals Advanced TrainingAn even more dynamic and intense follow-up to the intro- ductory training. Drive even more safely thanks to professional tips from police driving instructors. Learn how to recognise and instinctively avoid looming hazards by spotting details that seem unremarkable at first glance. The driving training on this two-day course is also even more advanced: learn how to keep your nerve and react in a precise manner when driving at night and at higher speeds.

For this professional training course, we work with you to develop a programme that’s tailored to your specific needs. The focus is on 1:1 training in order to maximise your success. High-stress situations are recreated so you can learn how to achieve top-level performance in exceptional circumstances. The course can be run with up to four participants. Groups of three or more will be provided with two vehicles.

Fascination Tour SL “The icon from Bremen”A whole day under the star of the Mercedes-Benz SL! Following a light breakfast at the “gottlieb” restaurant, you will be treated to an exciting tour of the body shopand final assembly. After these exclusive insights, the pace really picks up as you are piloted around the steep curve of the test track and feel the impressive effects of the centrifugal forces. On the subsequent drive into the beautiful Bremen hinterland, you take the wheel of the SL yourself, accompanied by expert instructors. Fascination Tour Driving AirWhich is better, driving or flying? You don’t have to choose when you attend this unique event. You fly to Emden via Wilhelmshaven and Norderney on board a Cessna or Piper. At each station, a different participant takes on the role of co-pilot and is even allowed to take the controls. Then it’s into the latest Mercedes-Benz models for the drive back from Emden to Bremen along picturesque country roads. Awaiting you here to round off the eventful day in style is a red carpet dinner at which you can relive the best moments of your day.

Fascination Tour SyltWith its dream routes, Sylt offers all that aficionados need for a weekend rich in variety. To get you in the mood, it all starts with an exciting tour of the Bremen factory. You then hop into a Mercedes-Benz roadster or convertible for the trip to the beautiful North Sea island. On the Saturday, we show you the most attractive routes to the familiar points of interest. Those who prefer to focus solely on the joy of driving and the experience, meanwhile, will find what they are looking for in the original family outing or the test drive of a totally different kind with the Mercedes-Benz SUVs and off-roaders. Advanced TrainingBuild on the Basic Training and expand your off-road knowledge. The terrain, prepared specifically for training purposes, throws up challenges such as steep slopes and waterholes. One particularly thrilling feature is the impressive 80 % gradient. Nerves of steel and concentration are also called for on the demanding ABS braking and handling section.

Basic TrainingBasic training or off-road experience? On the Basic Training course, beginners combine learning success with extreme driving pleasure. 02.1 Perfection TrainingTwo days of driving through water, sand and mud. Off- road professionals train the participants in a small group on the expansive terrain in Biberach – for everything that a true off-road adventure demands of them. Climbs and descents, gradients of 80 %, angled driving and extreme twisting routes. Following this intensive training, you will even be able to recover your vehicle independently should the worst come to the worst. Climb on board, an adven-ture awaits!

02.3 G-Class TrainingWe have developed a special training course to take into account the extraordinary off-road capability of the G-Class. You learn how to master the sophisticated technology in theory and practice to fully utilise the potential of this high-performance vehicle. The training grounds in Biberach await you with difficult woodland ascents, demanding ground conditions and deep fording obstacles – perfect conditions to put the G-Class technology with electronic traction system (4ETS) and three differential locks through its paces.

Extreme G-Class TrainingThis additional training turns you into a true off-road expert. The huge training grounds in Biberach give you the opportunity to spend two full days learning about all situations on a demanding off-road tour – from deep fording to low-friction descents on 80–90 % gradients. Everything revolves around the special technical features of the G-Class. You learn how to use the three differential locks correctly and control other special features of the G-Class safely. To prepare you for your next off-road adventure, experienced instructors show you how to recover your vehicle and perform minor repairs yourself.

At its side are the powerful GLE and GLC off-roaders, whose handling characteristics you can compare during the course of your off-road experience. In their own elements, of course: through the extreme twisting route section, during fording and on demanding gradients at the plant’s own test site – “The Rock!”. An experienced instructor gives you important tips and prepares you for the final competitive trial. Give your all!

We have put together a comprehensive Driving Events travel package: from the remote snow- white north, home to Santa, to the world’s most southerly city, Ushuaia in Tierra del Fuego. This is the finishing point for this year’s stage of the Mercedes-Benz Driving Events World Tour, taking in South America. The truly special off-road adventure will once again undoubtedly be one of the year’s highlights.But, as in previous years, there are some very

special trips available for all Mercedes-Benz Classic fans, too. Italy, France and Stuttgart – the birthplace of the automobile and home to the Mercedes-Benz brand – can be newly dis- covered in an original way with the legendary vehicles. Global ExperienceThe fourth stage of the Mercedes-Benz Offroad World Tour takes in South America. There are not one but two routes this time. In 2017, the route starts in French Guiana and passes through Suriname, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Bolivia and Argentina before reaching Uruguay. Particularly fascinating aspects include the landscapes on the eastern coast, the endless green of the Amazon and passes in the Andes at altitudes of over 5,000 m. The second route, in 2018, starts in the port city of Montevideo on the Río de la Plata and ends in Ushuaia, the world’s most southerly city. Between these two cities lie four weeks of adventure, taking you through La Pampa, wild passes and the Chilean rainforest before arriving at Tierra del Fuego.

Dunes and Sea ExperienceEndless sand dunes, rugged mountains and Oman’s capital, Muscat, with its traditional oriental buildings – send your senses on a journey of adventure. Driving challenges likewise present themselves on the mountain track through one of the country’s most remote areas, which leads to one of the largest caves in the world. Saalfelden/KitzbühelWinter driving pleasure is guaranteed: you will find the optimum conditions in Saalfelden, at the foot of the Kitzbühel Alps. Nature’s wonderful backdrop, the Gut Brandlhof designer hotel with its gourmet restaurant and extensive spa area and above all the driving safety centre located directly next to the hotel. You will receive optimum preparation for the winter in the Ice Arena measuring 120,000 m2.

You complete your off-road training in a quarry near the local town of Kitzbühel. Here you will need nerves of steel and full concentration to negotiate icy routes, angled sections and downhill gradients of up to 80 %.

SorseleAn adrenaline-boosting experience on ice and snow awaits you, just a few kilometres south of the Arctic Circle. In the Swedish province of Lapland, snow and ice are guaranteed and thus ensure the optimum wintry conditions for conducting the training course on the frozen lake close to Sorsele. The extremely challenging handling courses demand the highest degree of driving ability from you whilst at the same time promising plenty of driving pleasure – after all, the ice tracks were designed by Formula 1 racing circuit designer Hermann Tilke, who also designed the Abu Dhabi circuit. However, relaxation and enjoyment are also provided for. A rustic and authentic atmosphere with specialties from the region awaits you in our hotel with its typical regional appeal and modern design accents as well as the new lakeside lodge with an open fire and our igloo!
