General Session 9:30 – 10:45 am

Leverage: Should You Always Use It to Your Advantage? Ever wonder what those capital markets guys are talking about? Why some people

buy all-cash and some use maximum debt leverage? How does the debt/equity ratio affect returns on acquisitions and refinancing? Why is today one of the best times to consume capital?

In this interactive discussion, all attendees will be seated at roundtables. After an introductory discussion by the panel, each table will be provided a case study involving a fictional acquisition financing with a specific set of lender/buyer level leverage and yield criteria. The attendees will then be asked to collectively produce the optimal deal structure taking into account their particular criteria. Our panel of experts will then analyze the alternatives and compare its conclusions with those of each table. You will leave this session with an understanding of common deal terms, the ability to “talk the talk,” and an understanding of how to structure financing from multiple viewpoints.
