She has served in various capacities, including a DSHS licensor, DSHS training unit program manager, director of assisted living for WHCA, and currently as the Director of Quality Assurance for Village Concepts. Vicki is a registered nurse and a nutritionist who enjoys curriculum development and teaching. All Registrations Must Be Done Online COURSE OVERVIEW Assisted living providers are required to comply with Chapter 388-112 WAC related to staff training and development. As part of these requirements, administrators or their designee(s) who want to train caregivers in the specialty topics of dementia and mental health must complete specialized training in order to qualify as a facility-based trainer. This intensive training session prepares administrators or their designated trainers to successfully pass the mandated competency test required in the specialty topics of dementia and mental health. This course is designed to make it easy to complete one or both specialty topics. Mental Health Specialty Training and testing is done in one day. Dementia Specialty Training and testing will be on Day Two. Days One and Two include morning refreshments, lunch and a light afternoon snack.
