You will gain a strong understanding of the breadth of engineering disciplines and how they all fit together, before specialising in your area of interest in the final two years. You will graduate with the skills and experience needed to tackle the multi-faceted engineering problems of tomorrow.

Experience world-class facilities.You will study in our 19 specialist teaching laboratories and state-of-the-art lecture theatres in The Diamond. This £81m investment provides an unparalleled teaching environment for undergraduate engineers, with cutting-edge, industrial-standard teaching equipment, including a virtual reality suite, flight simulators and free-access prototyping facilities. It provides the setting for hands-on exploration of engineering principles, where you will learn the practical skills needed by a modern engineer.
During your first two years you will study specially developed modules designed to introduce you to the breadth of engineering and to develop your creative problem-solving skills in an interdisciplinary context. At the end of Year 2 you will choose your specialism from one of eleven degree pathways, covering all engineering disciplines. You will spend Year 3 and Year 4 studying your chosen specialism.
