MEDICAL COMPONENTOverview of State of the Art Management of the following common malignancies: Breast, Head and Neck, Gynecological, Prostate and Colorectal Cancer. Emphasis of each presentation will be on early detection and recent advances in multimodality management and minimally invasive approaches.
Educational Objectives• Understand recent advances in screening and early
detection of common malignancies• Understand recent advances in the multidisciplinary
management of common malignancies• Understand outcomes and current challenges in the
management of common malignancies
DENTAL COMPONENTUpdate on current concepts in dental practice including: Medical Emergencies; Early Detection of Common Malignancies; Medication- related Osteonecrosis of the Jaw; Comprehensive approach to Oral Rehabilitation; and Management of Implant Complications.
Educational Objectives• Recognize and manage common dental office emergencies• Identify common and rare oral malignancies at an early stage• Prevent and manage medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw• Understand restorative needs of patients requiring full mouth
rehabilitation• Diagnose implant complications and select appropriate
treatment modalities
