A&S Home HealthCare Inc. Interoffice Memorandum To: Sultan Surti From: Ali Hamza cc: Kevin McWilliams Date: May 1, 2015 Re: Employee Engagement Plan I have been privileged to be a small part of A&S Home HealthCare family for almost over a month now. A&S Home Healthcare is one the leading Home HealthCare provider in west Chicagoland in such a short period of time. A&S Home HealthCare was founded by CEO Dr. Sultan Surti in 1999. A&S Home HealthCare didn’t start at first with any new idea, there were already a lot of giants and competitors in the Home HealthCare industry such as ResCare Home HealthCare and Advocate Home Healthcare but, the performance, hard work and ethics were key to success which A&S Home HealthCare has applied to the business model. Home HealthCare is the government regulated business in which agencies like A&S provide medical services to the seniors who are qualified for the government Medicare program. The concept of this business is very innovative since it is very expensive to keep patients at the hospitals. The government distribute licenses to the agencies like A&S Home HealthCare after strict inspections and regulations so they can provide Home HealthCare to seniors and save money for the government. A&S Home Healthcare has a big number of management staff who stays at the office and a large amount of nurses, physicians, CNA’s and technicians who are on the field and visit the patients at their door step and provide the quality service which human beings deserve. A&S Home HealthCare also engages with the society as in philanthropy and charity by providing sponsorships to the local sports teams to the charities for religious institutions in the area.

Date:May 1, 2015Re:Employee Engagement Plan

I have been privileged to be a small part of A&S Home HealthCare family for almost over a month now. A&S Home Healthcare is one the leading Home HealthCare provider in west Chicagoland in such a short period of time. A&S Home HealthCare was founded by CEO Dr. Sultan Surti in 1999. A&S Home HealthCare didnt start at first with any new idea, there were already a lot of giants and competitors in the Home HealthCare industry such as ResCare Home HealthCare and Advocate Home Healthcare but, the performance, hard work and ethics were key to success which A&S Home HealthCare has applied to the business model. A&S Home Healthcare has a big number of management staff who stays at the office and a large amount of nurses, physicians, CNAs and technicians who are on the field and visit the patients at their door step and provide the quality service which human beings deserve. A&S Home HealthCare also engages with the society as in philanthropy and charity by providing sponsorships to the local sports teams to the charities for religious institutions in the area. HealthCare is one of the biggest industries in USA with almost $300 billion revenue. As one of the professor Dr. Martin has told us at DePaul University that 7 out of 10 lobbyist in Washington are working on HealthCare since its such a huge industry and is also one of the biggest employers in America. As I have noticed and also read in some of the well reputed magazines that healthcare industry lacks innovation when it comes to the technology. Most of the hospitals and doctors havent adapted to the technology yet. Transferring to technology from the conventional system which healthcare industry have been using wont be very expensive either. It will be a onetime investment which will be beneficial for a long period of time. As I have noticed that at A&S whenever we have to send the field staff to some patients residence we either call the staff member, text them or send them the email. This works fine for the business but it can be improved by developing a software which also includes a cell phone app. We can create a software which will have all the duties of the field staff, their notes about the patients and their schedule for the whole week. They can get access to all that from their computer and cellphone. Right now, as I have mentioned office staff have to make calls and then the field staff calls them back. Sometimes the communication gap occurs because of certain reasons which is not that much productive. The existing system has been working fine but with the help of the software it can be improved tremendously and will be more efficient and profitable for the organization. The innovation and creativity in todays world enhance the performance of the business and is also profitable for the organization. As we have seen that Uber recently came out in transportation industry three years ago and is almost a $45 billion company. They were innovative, they have created a cellphone application which is innovative and convenient at the same time. We have to switch to the advance technology too, it will provide the best results for the organization and will be useful in the long term. A&S Home HealthCare is all about the care and prosperity of the patients and I think this software will be helpful for organization to get us to the success.
