Member Protection Information Officer Workshop WHEN: Monday, 26 March and Tuesday, 27 March, 2012 WHERE: The Palm Room, The All Seasons Oasis, 10 Gap Road, Alice Springs TIME: 6.00pm – 9.00pm COST: FREE - Light refreshments will be provided. PRESENTER: Jo Jennings, Consultant, Practical Governance. A Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO) is the first point of contact in a club or sporting organisation for any enquiries, concerns or complaints around harassment, abuse and other inappropriate behaviour. This workshop will provide participants with an opportunity to increase their awareness of harassment, discrimination and how to create a child safe environment at their sporting club. The workshop will assist sport administrators to better handle complaints and conflict by teaching participants the practical skills to take on the Member Protection Officer Role.
