ATHLETIC WOMEN EXCEL TULSA (AWE TULSA)

In partnership with Tulsa Sports Commission, Athletic Women Excel Tulsa’s mission is to create a positive impact and improve quality of life by strengthening women and girls in the Tulsa region though sports and fitness. The AWE Tulsa committee works to recruit, retain, enhance or develop opportunities for women and girls in sport.

THE BULL-PEN The Forge, our entrepreneurial incubator, offers free mentors in a variety of fields. The wealth of knowledge of the 50+ individual mentors can prepare business owners with the skills and services they need to be successful. A maximum one hour of meeting time is offered per mentor, per month.

CEO ROUNDTABLESRoundtables are groups of eight non-competitive CEOs (or equivalents) that meet monthly to share best practices, exchange ideas in a confidential setting and serve as each other’s advisory board and support unit. Must be the business owner/president/CEO to participate, have annual revenue in excess of $250,000 and have been in business for a minimum of two years. Applicants must complete an hour training session. Once training has been completed a vetting process for group placement will occur.

*Due to confidentiality and the non-competing clause please allow time for group placement.

HOSPITALITY CLUBIf you enjoy building relationships, consider assisting at events, grand openings, ribbon cuttings and ground breakings as a Hospitality Club volunteer. This is a great opportunity to meet and connect with members and celebrate new and growing businesses in the Tulsa region. Volunteers are recognized based on attendance. Capacity is limited, but new volunteers are added at designated times throughout the year.

ENERGY COUNCILThis opportunity will provide members with direct input into the Chamber’s political, economic, and workforce efforts. Open to upstream (exploration and production) and midstream energy business members of the Tulsa Regional Chamber. Must be the Owner/President/CEO/Company Designee to participate.

MANUFACTURERS’ COUNCIL The Manufacturers’ Council provides members with peer-to-peer networking and discussions and will act as a conduit to deliver industry specific information on issues, concerns and interests while bolstering the perception of manufacturing to the public. Open to manufacturer members of the Tulsa Regional Chamber. Must be the Owner/President/CEO/Company Designee to participate.

MOSAICMosaic will educate, lead and influence businesses on creating diverse and inclusive workplace cultures to enhance their competitive advantage. Mosaic’s primary focus is to provide resources and best practices to area businesses, improve perceptions of our community and create an inclusive environment to ensure our region’s economic success. WORKFORCE COLLECTIVEThis group works together in the areas of talent development and deployment to grow our talent supply chain to the meet the needs of businesses and our community. Areas of focus typically include job readiness, career awareness, career pathways and internship or on-the-job experience. The group meets at least four times a year.

ONEVOICE LEGISLATIVE TASK FORCESPlay a part in shaping regional legislation by participating in a OneVoice task force and creating the OneVoice Regional Legislative Agenda. The OneVoice Agenda is developed through the collaboration of more than 500 regional partners. The agenda has come to reflect a unified commitment to improve and develop economic stability for northeast Oklahoma through active participation in our state and federal political processes. Task forces meet to develop the OneVoice agenda during the summer each year and as needed throughout the legislative session. Task force choices are:

PARTNERS IN EDUCATION Support Tulsa Public Schools through the Partners In Education Program. Organizations of every size partner with school sites to provide supplemental resources for students. Partners provide a variety of time, talent and treasures depending on their available means; all of which truly impact students’ experiences. RESOURCE CAMPAIGN This annual campaign provides 25% of the Chamber’s annual operating budget. More than 120 volunteers generate revenue by selling sponsorships for programs, events, publications and memberships during a 10-week (April-June) campaign. The campaign provides a great opportunity to meet business leaders throughout the region, earn commissions and a coveted trip for top producers.

SMALL BUSINESS CONNECTION COMMITTEESCommittees work to foster, empower and provide business opportunities in our region. Each committee plays a vital role in the Small Business Connection’s programs, events and advocacy efforts which address the needs of the small and minority business community. TULSA SPORTS COMMISSION EVENTSVolunteer for roles at TSC events, including staffing for crowd control, ushering, security, hospitality room set-up, clean up and hosting, courtesy car transport, ticket sales and participant support services (housing, information, ambassador).
