May 2015 BCA Shipping, Transport and Logistics Department, is proud to announce its memberships with: BIMCO, Baltic and International Maritime Council, for more than 100 years is the world’s largest international shipping association, with over than 2,300 members spanning 130 countries. BIMCO’s core objective is to facilitate the commercial operations of its members by developing standard contracts and clauses, and providing quality information, advice and education. It further promotes fair business practices, free trade and open access to markets, being a strong advocate for the harmonization and standardization of all shipping related activities. BCA through its “Associate Member” status allows its Student Body and Academia to have privileged access to BIMCO’s immense databases, news bulletins, market advisory, alerts, statistics, etc. whilst also enjoying discounts on books, publications. Equally as important students and staff are entitled to entry and invitation to “Members Only” conferences, roundtable discussions, etc. https://www.bimco.org/ INTERTANKO, International Association of Independent Tanker Owners, established in 1970, is comprised of 204 members from 40 countries, controlling more than 3,077 tanker vessels. INTERTANKO has been the voice of independent tanker owners worldwide, and is actively involved in a wide range of topics; commercial, technical, legal, operational and educational matters, in an effort to promote the safe and efficient transportation of oil and its oil products. The students and faculty of BCA as “Associate Member” in INTERTANKO, enjoy free access to a range of web-based services, its information base, weekly bulletins, advisory, market & industry alerts and other specialized publications, invitation to seminars, industry functions and events. http://www.intertanko.com/ INTERCARGO, the International Dry Cargo Shipowners Association, main role is to work with its members, regulators and other Shipping Associations to ensure and promote shipping operating safely, efficiently, environmentally and profitably. In its efforts, it cooperates among others with the International Maritime Organization in formulating global legislation and regulations. BCA, as an Reciprocal Member ", enjoys access to data, market and industry bulletins and alerts, priority invitation to industry conferences, seminars, as well as discounts on publications, etc. Of special interest is the ability of BCA students and staff to utilize the extensive network of its contacts for study & research, access to other organizations like Baltic Exchange, IMO and others. MIF, the Maritime Industry Foundation, is the result of a joint effort by BIMCO, Int’l Chamber of Shipping, Intercargo, INTERTANKO and the IMO, to promote Shipping Education and Shipping in general and as an industry as a whole. It comprises of 130 members, among them many specialized Colleges, Gov't Bodies, Shipping Companies and Organizations. Our students/staff has unlimited access to their data and research material, and excellent networking opportunities. More interestingly, the MIF offers a platform to its members not only to expand human knowledge and understanding of the vital roles of the maritime industries and commercial shipping in its economic, social, political and cultural aspects. http://www.maritimeinfo.org/

The International Propeller Club, Port of Piraeus chapter, is part to an international business network est. in 1922, with presence in 33 cities around the world, is dedicated to the promotion of the maritime industry, commerce and global trade. The Propeller Club promotes the maritime industry through many of its programs and collaborating with similar interests’ organizations. As members, we enjoy the privilege of participating in high level “private” functions and meet and exchange ideas with executives of the maritime and business industries, and actively participate in the bolstering of business, education and social relationships among members, at both a local as well as an international level. http://www.propellerclub.gr/
