A three member committee was appointed to receive nominations from interested volunteers to serve as credit union directors. Members First election rules adhere to guidelines and require-ments imposed by the Credit Union Department of the State of Texas. These rules ensure that credit union directors are in good standing with Members First Credit Union, are insurable for bond-ing purposes, and will receive approval to serve by the Credit Union Department. Election rule guidelines for interested director applicants are as follows:

Members interested in running for a position on the Board of Directors must submit the following as part of their application:1. Resume of applicant for background information.2. Completed Director Application and Agreement to Serve form.A credit history of the applicant and current standing with the credit union will also be reviewed as part of the approval process. NOMINATING COMMITTEE APPOINTED

ANNUAL MEETING CHANGEWith much consideration, it was decided that starting in 2016, it is more appropriate that the annual meeting will be a business meeting with elections only (held the first Thursday in March). In conjunction with this move, International Credit Union Day is being set aside as a better time to celebrate our appreciation of members and the uniqueness of credit unions. Please refer

to the International Credit Union Day article above for more details on this upcoming event.

International Credit Union (ICU) Day® has been celebrated on the third Thursday in October since 1948. The day is recognized to reflect upon the credit union movement's history and to pro-mote its achievements. It is a day to honor those who have dedicated their lives to the movement, recognize the hard work of those working in the credit union industry and show members our appreciation. In honor of our members we will be highly celebrating ICU Day at each location on October 15, 2015 with refreshments, fun, and good old fashioned conversation! Please join us

on this special day to celebrate!
