In August 1999 Virtual Innovation Park became the official information resource for the European Survey of Information Society (ESIS) development in the Czech Republic.

Framework Programmes – focused on supporting R&D with a prototype as the final outcome there

are other programmes following up and helping the developers to deploy and test the prototype on the real markets.

eContentPlus – 4-year programme (2005–08), following up the previous eContent – budget of EUR 149 mil. – to promote take up of leading-edge technical solutions to improve

acessibility and usability of digital material in a multilingual environment – addresses specific market areas where development has been slow:

geographic , educational, cultural, scientific and scholarly content. – supports EU-wide co-ordination of collections in libraries, museums and

archives and the preservation of digital collections

eTEN Promo Invest

• In contrast with EU research programmes, eTEN is also open to proposals from single entities provided they aim to be active in several member states. It is a key tool for the exploitation of successful research activities from technical development to the market.

Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (2007-2013)

Indicative budgetary allocations for the specific programmes are the following (Annex I):

a) EUR 2 631 million for the pursuance of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme, of which up to 520 million will be implemented to promote ecoinnovation;

b) EUR 801.6 million for the pursuance of the ICT Policy Support Programme;

c) EUR 780 million for the pursuance of ‘the Intelligent Energy – Europe Programme’.

Foreseen budget for the CIP is EUR 4 212.6 million.
