Many families in theneighborhood live below the federal poverty level. our goals are to helpyoung students improve their educational performance, practicepositive decision-making skills in a supportive environment, provideopportunities for community involvement, and provide year-round learningopportunities. these goals are achieved by providing diverse activitiesto participating students and their families, responsive to the needs of thecommunity we serve.

registration policyregister early to avoid being disappointed.Programs will be filled on a first come, first servedbasis. all programs have a minimum and maximumenrollment. if a class is filled, waiting lists will be formedand every attempt will be made to accommodatepersons on that list.

non-sufficient Fund checks policya $15 fee will be charged to persons presentingn.s.F. checks.

transfer policyParticipants may choose to transfer from one classto another. if this occurs a $5 transfer fee must bepaid before the transfer is processed. some classesdo not allow transfers.

refund policyrefunds must be requested more than three businessdays prior to the activity start date. refundsrequested less than three business days from theactivity start date will not be processed.

refund requests will be charged a $10 processingfee per activity. refund requests processed as in-housecredits will be charged a $5 processing fee andmust be used for a Community house activity withinone year of issue date. in-house credits are non-refundable.

ticketed events do not offer refunds.

all enrollment transfers will be charged a fee of $5per class/activity/ticket.

a full refund is granted for any activity cancelled bythe Community house.

if the Community house cancels an individualclass, a make up class will be scheduled.

Memberships are non-refundable.

individuals who withdraw from an active adultclass, program, or trip/event less than five businessdays prior to the scheduled start date will becharged a 75% processing fee.

all refund requests must be approved by theProgram director. refunds are processed within21 days after approved by the Program director.

please view each activity description as individualprograms may have specific refund policies.

photo policy - the Community house staff regularlyphotographs or videotapes participants in theCommunity house programs and events. thesephotos are for the Community house use only andmay be used in publications, brochures, pamphlets,flyers or video productions.
