PowerPoint Presentation

Adyen enables companies to accept payments from their customers using any payment method over any sales channel.

Position Adyen vs. Competition so that prospects understand where we fit in. Key: We are not a company that want to go after 100,000 customers Instead we focus on serving the high-end market, which means international companies, with the volumes that can be optimized and which are processed over multiple sales channels. Thats where the real complexity is, and what we are very good at. The Adyen platform is the only new next generation payments platform in the market, and capable of processing all sales channels including POS over the same technology stack. Give the example to the merchant about how all global payment companies were started during (or before) the first internet bubble, e.g. WorldPay, GlobalCollect, Ogone, CyberSource, Datacash, Chase etc etc.

Adyen enables companies to accept payments from their customers using any payment method over any sales channel.

A unique approach to global expansion

One platform, all channels

Over 250 payment methods

Adyen acquiring

One platform, full value chain = access to all the payment data. Enables us to identify opportunities and areas of improvement for our merchants. (insert example Chris). Multiple acquirer connections = we can benchmark ourselves against competition. If, for example, we see an BIN that isn't working via Adyen acquiring but is via another connection, we can quickly identify what they are doing differently and hence solve the problem. Competitor acquirers do not have access to these insights since they only have their own data. All technology developed in-house: No external dependence, quick release cycles hence very easy to experiment and a/b test new ideas.

Technical IntegrationsAPICSEHPPDirectory Lookup

Lets start with integrations (front-end). Adyen offers lots of flexibility and the most modern APIs. Including e.g. API for native mobile apps (CSE). We are specialized in keeping PCI away from merchants. *The 3 technical integration possibilities can be combined or be replaced by one another to answer evolving needs.

Hosted Payment Page (HPP)

One of the first innovations that Adyen brought to the market. Merchants always had great looking websites, up to when it came to payments. After re-direct often a white page or black page appeared with bank logos, limited options to maintain look and feel and even a big cancel button (Ogone) in the middle which is the last thing you want for conversion. Adyen provides unique skin technology where the merchant can control every little detail and pixel on the payment page which is hosted on the Adyen server. Even the URL can be in the merchants name via certificat hosting (optional service). Simple CSS, HTML file. Easy to manage for payment managers. A/B testing and conversion analytics running on the background and part of standard Adyen service for free. Hint: Explain one page dynamic check out, customer doesn't leave the page or have to wait for new page to load. Automated spacing, automated selection of card brand. Select iDeal, the CC field will close and iDeal open up showing all the logos with the customer still on the same page. Hint: Explain that if you want to change the check out button, make it green, larger and put it in the middle you can test this real time via a/b testing backed by real data if the change was successful or worse.

CSE/One-Click Payment

Extensive tokenization service. Account updater supported in Europe (and U.S soon) and live for a long time with large customers. + Recurring SEPA, + tokenization for iDeal, Sofort and POS transactions.

The omni-channel opportunity

Adyen is unique and currently the only system in the world where you can process transactions from desktop, tablet, mobile and POS all through one single platform. Example: You process a mobile transaction, one minute later POS, transaction and can see them appear real time in the Adyen backoffice. Shopper DNA is supported across all sales channels. Example: Tokenization of cards at POS for 1 click for mobile devices or identifying a customer via their card at the point of sale (full transaction history can be displayed to the sales agent) and give the customer a voucher, discount, thumbs up - omni channel is all about customer engagement. Hint: Do live demo (Ringo Starr story)

This network tells a story - this transaction tells the story of a fraudster using many cards. While visualization is important, the true power of ShopperDNA is our ability to create rules on these networks, thus automating the tracking of fraud networks as they adapt.

Dynamic 3D Secure turns a liability into an asset. Tackle fraudulent transactions and skip the good transactions. Generally a combination of country-based and risk-score based rules make for excellently optimized 3D Secure routing.
