CII National Award for Food Safety 2012
CII - Jubilant Bhartia Food & Agriculture Centre of Excellence is happy to invite your Organisation and your Suppliers who are engaged in Food Manufacturing and Food Service establishments to participate in the CII National Award for Food Safety 2012.
The Award was launched in India in 2010. Subsequent to two consecutive successful Award cycles, the Food Safety Assessment Model has been upgraded to 2012 revisions with feedback from stakeholders. Besides sector specific Good Manufacturing practices & Food Safety Management Systems, the model encompasses social and improvement initiatives . The criteria for Food Safety Systems are drawn from new Food Safety and Standards Act, Rules & Regulations 2011, GFSI recognised FS 22000 standards, Codex & Industry best practices.
This Award program is open to Indian food businesses in the Micro small, Small, Medium & Large Scale category of Manufacturing, Hotels, Restaurants and Retail & their overseas units (Table 1 of Award Brochure). Applications will have to be unit specific and the unit needs to be active in the food business for at least the past three years.
CII will be seeking good practices that showcase the establishments’ food safety strategy and its deployment through systems, results and various other improvement initiatives.

Please fill in the ‘Letter of Intent’ attached (one for each Applicant Unit) and send it to the CII Award Secretariat with the Application fees, latest by May 18, 2012. CII will then mail the prescribed format in which the Application document has to be submitted. The format is in the form of checklists ,simple & easy to fill in.
The ‘Fee Structure’ detailing the Application and Site Visit Fees’ are provided in the Award Brochure for your reference.
We do hope that your own establishments as well as those of your suppliers, motivated by you, would participate in this Award program to leverage its manifold benefits
