Event/Meeting’s Minutes

Mr. Zlatko Filipović, Principal of Institute for Physical Planning of Koprivnica-Križevci County, gave an

opening statement in which he expressed his satisfaction with the successful finalization of Green

Partnerships project. Within the Project, technical documentation of EE and RES implementation was

made, and the task of all of us is to execute them in reality. High quality products are results of the

work of various experts. He used this occasion to express his gratitude to all the employees of the

Institute who participated in the Project and other project stakeholders.

After the introductory words Mr. Mladen Matica, Assistant Principal of the Institute, presented basic

information about Green Partnerships. He highlighted achieved results at national and transnational

levels. Except seven steering committee meetings, where all partners exchange their experiences,

especially significant were study visits to good practice examples of EE and RES use. Eleven LAG-s were

formed, which gathered approximately 130 experts, and 22 capacity building workshops were held, on

which 600 participants received knowledge and information. Furthermore, Final publication, with

overview of main results of action plans conducted at national levels, was published, as well as “Step-

by-step” guide with practical instructions for implementation of efficient energy use projects.

At local level the Institute formed one LAG and held 2 CBWs. Three action plans were carried out. They

resulted with technical documentation for solar panels installation on Home for elderly and disabled

building in Koprivnica, architectural drawings of existing state of Primary school “Grigor Vitez” building

in Sveti Ivan Žabno, energy certificate and main design for energy efficiency improvement of the

Building, and feasibility study for biogas heating of public buildings in town Đurđevac. Moreover,

Regional Energy Agency North prepared Strategy for RES exploitation in Koprivnica-Križevci County, the

strategic document of sustainable development at regional level, which will be implemented in all

spatial plans of the County.

Mr. Radovan List, Koprivnica-Križevci County, explained plans of the County regarding energy renewal

project of public buildings. At this moment, all resources are intended for public schools renewals, and

the priority will have buildings with already prepared technical documentation. For this reason, Primary

school “Grigor Vitez” has great advantage in future competitions due to the Main design developed in

Green Partnerships.

All participants noted that implementation of all projects depends mostly about financial resources,

especially co-financing from EU Funds and Croatian Environmental protection and energy efficiency

Fund. However, technical documentations must be prepared before the competition for co-financing

starts, since their duration is short and the resources are limited. One of the potentials is follow-up

project of Green Partnerships, which was also the main topic at final meeting of all partners in Maribor.

At the end, The Institute expressed its gratitude to all stakeholders for successful collaboration and

their engagement, and invited them to short lunch.
