We will order 50 awesome boneless rib-eye steaks; they will be dis- tributed on a first-come, first service basis. Members will pay $10 and guests will pay $15. The steak will a be cook-your-own affair, so direct any and all complaints to the chef! Your steak will be served with a baked potato, grilled vegetables, garlic toast and a tossed salad. Everyone will be served at our full bar without a wrist band with bottomless drinks. We will be cleaning out the liquor cabinet and most of the popular spirits will be available; however if you enjoy an unusual mixer, better BYOB. After dinner, we will have a tasty tres leches cake from Irma’s Bakery in Puerto Peñasco. We will have another prize raffle after dessert. Annette is putting together some of our most popular theme baskets. There will be gift certificates as well. The dinner cost includes 2 raffle tickets, but you may buy more to “stuff the box”. Bring your single dollar bills for the popular “left-right-center” dice game after the raffle. We hope to see everyone enjoying our last event of the OBSC party season. Sizzlin’ Summer Steak Fry We will continue our mem- bership meetings at 3:00PM before the current event. So start the Steak Fry party early and help the OBSC officers plan future events and activities. Yes, you may start drinking early, which makes the meeting a lot more fun and a lot less painless. Don’t you wish you could drink beer during meetings at your workplace! This is an im- portant meeting to plan the next party season and elect officers for the next year as well. General Membership Meeting Harry & Sandy Luker sure know their corned-beef! Every year, you think they can’t possibly do it any better, and THEY DO! Their annual St. Pat’s Day party has become a members’ favor- ite for sure! Roughly 50 members and guests enjoyed the dinner and all of usual OBSC FUN (Friendship, Unlimited beverages and Never a dull moment) this past March 16. We appreciate all of Harry & Sandy’s work, but they had a flock of great help. Dave & Kinta Heath, Bill & Tammy Hicks, Jerry & Karen Caballero, John & Linda Perrotta, Roger & Dolly Wall, BK Arnold, Kathy Barnard and Annette Maynard all pitched in to help in var- ious ways to make Harry & Sandy’s annual event another huge success. All of the OBSC appreciates the Lukers stepping up to host this annual party for the 6th year in a row!

We are the People your Parents warned you about!

Cinco de Mayo FiestaAn incredible cool May evening in Cholla Bay provided a perfect set-ting for our 2nd Cinco de Mayo Fiesta! About 50 OBSC members and guests enjoyed won-

derful tacos al vapor, tamales, rice and beans. The nacho bar during happy hour was a big hit as well. Plan on enjoying another, new and improved nacho bar during the happy hour before the steak fry. The tres leches cake, created by Irma’s bakery, served after dinner, was popular as well. I would like to thank Annette Maynard and Rick & Julie Dudley for their help getting this party together. Most of our long time OBSC

members know our Presi-dent, Rich Severson has had a

rough recovery from a knee replacement back in December 2018. With his knee replacment recovery going much slower than he expect-ed, he was hit with even worse health news. His beautiful, inside and outside, partner of 17 years, Helen Wilson, has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. With all of the American medical advancements, this form of cancer is still very difficult to treat and is incurable. This is a very difficult situation to

deal with, even in the best of circumstances. Rich is dealing with his own slow recovery and now is deal-ing with his partner’s poor prognosis. Rich & Helen appreciate all of the positive thoughts and prayers, but the gravity of Helen’s situation makes it difficult for even Rich’s closest friends to personally reach out to him. As Rich said in a recent Facebook post, “Hug your friends and family as each day is so pre-cious.”
