Scientific name "Primula officinalis" boot cuckoo is a very famous herb especially for its soothing qualities. Extracts of this plant successfully replace chemical sleeping pills for insomnia sufferers. Boots cuckoo relaxes the body, helping to remove nerve disorders.It is used for medicinal purposes both rhizome with roots and flowers.

Blood warrior or scientific name Lathyrus odoratus.

Smârdarul or mountain peony (Rhododendron Kotschyi) grows spontaneously in the alpine dwarf shrubs. Is not tolerate transplanting a plant, which makes it impossible for the cultivation of gardens. Mountain peony is perennial and retain green leaves throughout the year.

Protected species It is a very beautiful bird of passage that comes to our country, the Danube Delta to lay eggs, and autumn turns in hot countries. Sometimes,in winter, we can meet it in unfrozen waters.

Chamois (Rupicapra Rupicapra), a true pride of Romania, dwells on mountain ridges, hard to reach even the most experienced climbers. You should consider yourself lucky if you ever had the chance to silhouette on any of the peaks of the Carpathians.

The scientific name is Lynx lynx and lynx in Romanian, is currently the largest cat in the wild fauna of Romania. Carpathians called panther, lynx is natural spread from the mountains to the Danube Delta, with great versatility and ecological amplitude. At present, however, outside the Carpathians and Subcarpathian, number of copies are very little found (2000), due to uncontrolled hunting practiced in the past 100 years.

The causes of extinction of species in Romania are:

habitat degradation through increased agriculture;

forest mismanagement of grazing; excessive hunting and poaching.

Over 6000 species have already received a red flag announcing the danger of extinction;

Destruction of their territory, poaching and uncontrolled hunting led to the threat of some of the most diverse species.

Every time when we destroy rare species we need to think that man may soon become a rare species!
