Qualified from The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen in

1997 with a degree in Pharmacy and quickly headed South

for the experiences of a large teaching hospital in Glasgow

for my pre-registration year before becoming fully

qualified as a Pharmacist.

Responsible for the ward based pharmacy services at

Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust

After several years and three hospital Trusts, and a short

spell abroad in West Africa, I became a Clinical Pharmacy

Services Manager

Work interests:Chronic pain, palliative care and teaching.

Hobbies: Photography, cooking and support my local

hospice as a Trustee.

Favourite saying: (One I stole from the Olympics)…"Better

never stops".

Hobbies :Zumba, karate, and camping. Although not all

at once!

Ambition : To stay young!

Favourite Sayings : “Don’t Panic” and “Know where

your towel is” (both Douglas Adams, Hitchhikers Guide

To The Galaxy) and “A handbag?” (Oscar Wilde, The

Importance Of being Earnest). The first two I find to be

great pieces of practical advice and the last simply makes

me laugh.

May each year is International

Towel Day, a tribute to Douglas Adams, followers mark

the celebratory occasion by carrying a towel round with

them all day.

What Keeps Me Going : Rainbows, my family, my friends and a continual strive for perfection.
