GYST Consulting: Meet the team ‘Drewie’ is a highly experienced safety and training professional with over 25 years in the mining, construction, oil and gas industries. Her experience spans many occupations and companies within the industry. This gives her a unique perspective from the ground up. She has been a "boots on the ground" worker, a subcontractor, main contractor and an EPCM and Client representative. She understands and can relate to the challenges faced in the workplace from a crane operator to an executive. Being exposed to many sites means she has been embedded in the culture and mindset of the leaders and workforce alike. These experiences result in highly effective facilitation and leadership coaching skills which have immediate impact at work fronts where the rubber meets the road and at the highest levels of leadership teams and management. One of her strengths is the ability to achieve instant rapport with a workshop of strangers or a room of executives which fast tracks the results to positively influence the culture and to ensure all reach their potential as authentic values- based leaders no matter what their role in the company. Drewie’s professional goal is to see incident and injury-free operations become a statistical reality. She strives to create high trust, low fear environments where every member of a team is free to challenge, intervene and communicate their thoughts to continually improve their workplace culture, show genuine care and concern and to positively influence all aspects of the team dynamic.
