Robert enjoys conversing about all things homeopathic and metaphysical. A self-confessed smoothie addict, he also enjoys delving into the diverse worlds of whole foods, organic gardening and tandem cycling.

Anne is the fount of all knowledge in the office and is super organised! Outside of work, Anne can be found volunteering with local charities, knitting marvellous jumpers or baking cakes – yum!

Known as Yoda around the workplace, what Sue doesn’t know about bottles, caps and dispensers isn’t worth knowing. In her spare time, Sue enjoys spending time with her grandchildren

and gardening.

Denise is responsible for answering customer enquiries and packing up your parcels. Outside of work, Denise loves spending time with her two grandsons and working on her cross-stitch.

Alan is our resident computer geek and the brains behind the soon to be launched website. When not in the office, he’s usually visiting his girlfriend in Australia and surfing.

Ben is responsible for our product photography. He is permanently attached to his iPod and often develops selective hearing – don’t worry, Sue has a toy crossbow to keep him in line.

Mark enjoys getting techie with the website. A huge Arsenal fan, Mark spends his spare time arguing with Steve the postman about football and exploring Norfolk with Ben in his inflatable boat.

Welcome to the latest edition of the HSC catalogue

A big thank you to all of our loyal customers. Some of you have been with us for 25 years – no mean achievement for you or us. Those of you who are new and reading our catalogue for the first time are likely to be doing so as a result of a recommendation. Our files are full of testimonials about our customer service and we trust we will be able to fulfil your needs and desires too, in an appropriately life-enhancing way.

We pride ourselves on the high quality of our products, our commitment to sustainability and our support for charitable endeavours. The bottom line, however, is always the quality of your personal experience in dealing with us; “by their fruits ye shall know them” as the saying goes.

One of the characteristics of our business since its inception has been our acknowledgement of the journey of self-discovery that we share with our customers. Whether you are a user of alternative therapies or a practitioner you have taken a big step in taking control of your own healthcare, but will often be swimming against a tide of conformity and accepted medical practice. Recent media activity has left many supporters of alternative therapies feeing attacked and isolated. How do we respond to this? We do not have to justify our wants and needs by judging things as “right” or “wrong”, we merely need to feel what is right for us and let others get on with their reality. The challenge that we each face is to listen to that small voice of intuition that lies within us.

We truly do know what is good for us at any moment if we can but listen to that quiet “feeling” voice against the noisy clamour of our logical mind and the “good intentions” of others.

Many ideas that have challenged the dogma of the day have at first been ridiculed, then attacked and then finally accepted. This is as true of ideas within the alternative health professions as between alternative health and orthodoxy. To borrow a Quaker phrase, everyone needs to be ‘open to new light from whatever source it may come’. I have personally been inspired by the groundbreaking but controversial work of Peter Chappell, who has been working in the field of homeopathy and energetic medicine for forty years – you can read more about Peter on page 24.

We must develop our intuition to have the wisdom that allows us to know truth from fiction. What HSC does has always been based on the sharing of knowledge and experience – it will be wisdom for some of you but not all. Sucrose Pillules

Round sugar balls prepared to quality control standards for medicinal use. These pillules do not contain lactose. It’s not currently possible to source an organic variety.The SL210 are notably more expensive than the other sizes because of the difficulty of manufacturing. The LM granules are a cheaper alternative but be aware that they can be difficult to medicate.

This was the experience of Peter Chappell in 2002. Peter has been at the forefront of homeopathic innovation for almost 40 years, but prior to this he was an electronic/electrical research engineer. From this background he realised it should be possible to create an energetic imprint of the AIDS totality in water. He found a way to do this and called it PC1.

Peter says:

“I explained to my patients that I had a second option they could try. Those that agreed soon started coming back in to report. The first five people returned on one morning and ALL were really better. I was stunned. More came to be treated. Walk in people improved in two weeks. Really sick people got off their beds. Dr Harry van der Zee, a Dutch homeopath and editor of Homoeopathic Links did just this when he decided to investigate Peter’s results. Harry and his colleague Corrie Hiwat visited Malawi in 2004 to interview fifty or so of Peter’s patients. They were so convinced of the efficacy and importance of Peter’s work that all 3 joined in the setting up of a charity – the Amma Resonance Healing Foundation (ARHF).The foundation focuses on providing free treatment to AIDS patients and free PC remedy kits to doctors in developing countries. 24

PC technology for other epidemic diseasesPeter has used the same process to create specific resonances for other diseases and trauma. It works for malaria, gonorrhoea and the common epidemic diseases of Africa, and it’s similarly effective with war trauma, rape trauma and the shock states after earthquakes and tsunamis. A personal experience in acute diseaseOn Saturday 29th May 2007, I was away from home and awoke in the early hours of the morning with a tooth abscess. I was able to download the healing resonance (www.healingdownloads.com) for tooth abscess before I returned home and I listened to the 60 second recording a few times on my train journey. The pain level was pretty all consuming and often reached 8 or 9 on a 0–10 scale. Once home and with not a lot of improvement it struck me that it might be useful to read the instructions for using healing resonances! I found that in acute pain one should listen continuously until some improvement is felt. Within 20 minutes of following these instructions I began to experience relief. I felt very tired and went to bed early and listened periodically. I had a restless few hours with a high fever and flu like symptoms.
