You can play WOODWIND instruments by blowing into or across the mouthpiece.
Some woodwind instruments need a "reed" on the mouthpiece to play.
To change the sound, you can cover the holes or press the keys with your fingers.

Percussion FamilyPERCUSSION instruments are played by either tapping, banging, shaking or scraping.
Some percussion instruments are "non-pitched" and used to play rhythms only.
Some percussion instruments are "pitched" and used for pitch.
A Timpani is a pitched drum that uses pedals to play different sounds.
