Welcome to Bar Le Croco Bleu, located in the former historic Bötzow brewery, which brewed the city’s first beer back in 1885. The name of the bar comes from a bizarre episode in the brewery’s history. Scholl was told that two crocodiles from the Berlin Zoo had been kept in a pool in the Bötzow cellars for safekeeping during the war. So let’s start the evening with an appropriately exotic cocktail!

The Rainmaking Loft is a great place: A start-up hub, established by an international partnership of serial entrepreneurs with offices in Berlin, London and Copenhagen, the Berlin Loft is run by a group of entrepreneurs and angel investors. Das Meisterstück is well-known for its craft beer and German cuisine. The restaurant is located a stone’s throw from Cosmo Hotel. Enjoy some typical German food – especially the famous German sausages – swilled down with excellent beer.

The Red Dot Party will take place at the E-Werk Berlin, one of Berlin’s main venues for top-notch, world-class cultural events: a great place with the perfect ambience for partying, fine food and drink.

There is no fixed Saturday program - as at Meet&Greet events we always leave it up to participants to explore the city - but we have an interesting proposal for you:

P98a – From font type to printed poster!Letterpress shop is a working space created by the world-known German type designer Erik Spiekermann. A “font-addict” who says of himself: “I have been suffering from Typomania all my life, a sickness that is incurable but not lethal.” Two of his typefaces, FF Meta and ITC Officina, are considered to be modern classics. At the Letterpress Studio it is possible to experiment with printing on new fonts on old letterpress machines. Visitors can learn about the studio’s philosophy of the studio and print techniques. Letterpress also offers workshops where people can learn about the manual printing process, the individual font designs and the printed product.

Guided tour through the print shop. Introduction to company philosophy and printing methods. See posters for sale. Tour price per person: 20 EUR

ALTERNATIVELY:

10.00 -12.30 am: SMALL WORKSHOP Guided tour + workshop including press setup, layout & printing.Be creative and print your own poster with a text of your choice!

Price per person (groups of 5-10 persons) is 150 € and 100 € for groups of more than 10 persons.

If you can let us know what you are interested in by 23 October we will book either the introductory tour or the workshop.
