Navigating Ed In designing the user experience on Ed, we focused on the cyclical flow of day-to-day teaching and learning activities. Upon logging into a teacher account on Ed, you’ll notice that there are five main sections, or tabs, of the online learning system:

Discover: This tab provides an area to view curriculum materials by content or standards from a single location. You also have the ability to access modules, units, lessons, and resources, as well as open teacher and student eBooks.

Plans: This tab allows you to create a collection of resources, which you can access and assign from one location.

Assignments: Assignments can be created from program content and standards resources found within Discover or Plans.

Data & Reports: This tab provides an area to view student performance data and access critical information. Teachers can view class proficiency for a grade level or program, class proficiency for a single assessment, generate a report for a single assessment, review individual student scores on assessments, and receive recommendations for groups based on assessment performance to inform instructional next practices.

Groups: This tab allows you to create subsets of students from your classes. Groups can also be created automatically by Ed based on the results of a single assessment. Your saved groups are available for use when you create assignments.

You can learn more about navigating a Teacher account in Ed by visiting HMH Online Help for Teachers. Student Account: You can learn more about navigating a Student account in Ed by visiting HMH Online Help for Students. Students only have 3 main navigational sections: Discover, Assignments and Scores.
