More and more people are using apps to help manage their health

In April there were 18,564 mobile health applications in the App Store

Every month there are 500 new Apps

In Google Play there were 7,669 Medical Apps.

Is there anyone dedicated to check the contents of these apps?

The NewEngland Center for Investigative Reporting conducted a study in 2012, it analyzed 1,500 Apps and found that:

• More than 1 in 5 claimed they could cure medical disorders

• Of those 331 therapeutic applications, about 43% used their own terminal devices or sounds to make treatments


AcneApp cost $ 1.99 on iTunes and stated that the blue and red light generated with smartphone remove acne when applied to the skin, at least two minutes a day.
