Theme or focus of image & reasons for choiceMy theme throughout these photographs was a black and white edit, to give it that original classical look. Also as these photographs were taken to be displayed in a music magazine I included instruments and a staged setting. As the instruments let the audience know what the pictures are about. Also I chose to shoot these photos in a room with a stage. So my photo-shoot can relate to music and performing as much as possible. I Chose to focus my images on two members of a band we created to take these photos. One using a microphone and one using a guitar/piano. My reasons for choosing this type of photo shoot were because we had easy access to instruments and a good setting. I received positive feedback on both the location and setting. Techniques usedI stuck to quite basic techniques and editing. As I created my black and white theme I applied this to every single photograph. As I sent out a survey to see how successful my photographs were I received very positive feedback as 9 out of 10 people replied that my photos looked professional and up to a good quality. As I tried my best to sharpen and brighten the photos, to bring them to life I am pleased with the techniques I used as they were overall successful. I also used the colour balance tool to achieve the right levels of colour that suited my photos best. I also used the clone tool to make the models I used look more flawless and more professional. Strengths & suggested improvementsAs I created a survey to see how successful my photos were I realised what I could of worked on harder, and what I did well. If I had more time I personally think I would spend more time trying to figure out what editing techniques I could use to achieve a

higher grade. I would also spend more of my time deciding what will star in my photo shoot such as props, location, characters. When analysing my results from the survey I found that they were a success. The people who took part liked my style of photos, the quality and the professionalism I expressed through my photos. Editing detailsI used a black and white effect on all of my photographs to create a fashionable theme running throughout. I also used the clone tool to fix up my models faces and certain areas of the photos. I also adjusted the colour balance to achieve the right colour in each photograph. I changed the vibrancy levels, and also the contrast and brightness. I did not crop any of my images as I though the shots were good enough to stay the same size.
