The LivingLabs: Nantucket

School for the Environment

Major: Environmental Sciences

In the 21st century, communication via the internet has accelerated the transfer of information through various media (social media websites; images, digital video clips, infographics, etc.). Concurrently, in the age of Climate Change, spreading knowledge of Environmental realities has never been more important. This study is born from the school of thought that our culture is composed of individual concepts, memes. The aim of this study is to determine what forms and formats of media are most effective at transmitting information about Environmental Issues to the people of Nantucket over LivingLabs’ social media and community relations avenues.
