BAUER MEDIAI would hope that Bauer Media would distribute my rock magazine. Bauer Media owns many different magazines, of different music genres, for example, They own Q, and KERRANG!

About BAUER MEDIABauer Media owns many different media platforms. This means that they are very well known, and a very big company. Here is some information about the company.

KERRANG magazine.

This is the target audience for KERRANG. The main target audience is around the age of 15-24, with a male skew. Looking at this for reference, I created the survey to get a rough idea of my main target audiences, and audience profiles.

THE TYPOGRAPHY IS UNIQUE, LIKE THE IDEA OF KERRANG’S. HAVING A DIFFERENT FONT ALLOWS EASY IDENTIFICATION. I HAVE LOOKED AT THIS MAGAZINE FOR REFERENCE FOR MY OWN, FOR EXAMPLE THE EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW, AND THE PLACING OF BARCODE.

Chantelle Donovan’s name is in a different font, which is an element in every magazine. This is for celebrity recognition, plus it gives them individuality.

SUMMARY.Looking at the previous successful magazines that are owned by the BAUER Media, and what audience profiles they have, I decided to base my reference on them. I wanted to compare my magazine to a professional one that is already published, this allows me to check my progress, plus it shows my ideas. Although I want reference to the magazine when it comes to creating my own, I don’t want to fully copy it. Every magazine is different, meaning they have a unique selling point. This is what I think my magazine has. My magazine has different issues, for example that was the acoustic edition. Doing this gives a chance for different audiences to purchase and enjoy my magazine. My magazine included many different guides to do with festivals, or what to wear like the people in your favourite bands. It gives loads of opportunities and different offers, and it is all about promoting new bands/artists.
