Target Audience

Our target audience is around twelve and older because it fits with the guidelines set by the BBFC, also it could attract young British teenagers, however because of the newsreader and the location mean that it can appeal to an older audience too because they might recognise the place.

There isn’t really a set gender that it fits with as both males and females could enjoy watching it.

Pre-productionBefore we made the film we carried out a questionnaire and asked people to complete it to see if from our description of the film they could guess who the target audience age is, what the genre was, what certification the would expect it to be, where they would expect to see it and if they would watch it.

We looked at the results of the questionnaire and saw it was even on who would want to watch the film.

How did we use this?

When we got the reactions from people on Facebook, we then changed our film partially so that it was more like a horror/thriller film as some of the answers to the questionnaire were completely different from our idea.
