OpenBox Promotions is an independent community magazine family owned business. Founded in August 2010 by James and Andrew Savage, the company has since grown from 1 magazine to now producing 6 quality monthly, glossy A4 magazines.

James and Andrew knew there was no local community magazines covering North West Leicestershire and Charnwood. They believed in offering an affordable way for businesses to advertise themselves to the local community. There was also an outcry from the local communities of a need to help spread news, events and more.

In 2015 OpenBox Promotions was short listed for 4 categories at the The Independent Magazine Publishers Conference for ‘Best New Magazine’, ‘Best News Editorial’, ‘Best Social Media’ and ‘Inspirational Business Owner’.

Since OpenBox Promotions joined Issuu in 2013, the online magazines has enabled many ex-pats around the world continue to read what is going on in their local area.

Over the years OpenBox Promotions has ran many competitions and raised money for local charities such as The East Midlands Air Ambulance and Rainbows Hospice.
