WHAT I HAVE LEARNT FROM MY AUDIENCE FEEDBACK.

PEERS TRAILER

FEEDBACK

From this piece of

feedback I understood

that music in a trailer

plays a big role. It defines

the genre of the film and

also has an effect on the

way the audience will

consume the audio of the

trailer and how the

socialize and categorize

the film.

Gavin: ‘The trailer overall is good, however, the second part of the trailer the music that you have used in the last scenes represent the genre of an urban drama film, not a horror film. Try and find music that represents the horror genre like sinister music so we the audience can really understand that the genre of the film is a horror film.’What it said in the typography was good but I think you should change the font so it canlook more horror like.

FRIENDS SOCIAL MEDIA FEEDBACK

TRAILER

This comment really makes me think about the audience of our trailer and how they feel when watching it. We want them to be excited to watch our trailer but also be thrilled at points. We want our trailer to stimulate the audience and not make them question the genre of the film.

TEACHER’S MAGAZINE FEEDBACK

Add more text to show us what the magazine might be talking about

‘Win!! Tickets to see a free film in the cinema of your choice’ the audience want to win something

Include a Quiz- ‘what stock character are you?’ Change the front cover image to another image of the main

character. Barcode/scan barcode URL Issue number- so the audience know what issue it is and can

keep up to date with the magazine.

From this feedback I understood that we were not following the proper codes and conventions of a general magazine, we were thinking too much horror and not enough about small things that you find on a magazine e.g. Barcode, prizes or even the issue number.

TEACHERS TRAILERFEEDBACK

When filming don’t cut the heads of the protagonist Try and capture the attention of the audience at the

beginning of the trailer Use an establishing shot to introduce the setting of the film Introduce your character at the beginning and show her

development throughout the trailer e.g. show her when she is popular-unpopular-killer.

This feedback abled us as group to re-think the structure and alignment of our trailer, making us realize that we would need to re-film footage as we would need an establishing shot in the opening scene so the audience can understand where the action is taking place.

SOCIAL MEDIA From this media feedback The main thing the public all said was that the music doesn’t compliment the theme of the trailer. So that is definitely some that we are going to have to reconsider when re-editing the trailer, as we want it to be of the very best standard.
