Youtube was used to upload our thriller opening, evaluation tasks, the music for our thriller and explanations of our thriller opening.

Pros

YouTube is easy to use meaning that it allows people with various different technology abilities are able to use the website.

To become a member is easy at it allows you to do numerous things such as creating playlist, subscribing to different channel, making your own channel and uploading to your YouTube account.

As a member YouTube ables you to express your creativity your creativity in this case me and my partner have created a thriller opening and have posted it on YouTube for millions of people to access.

YouTube also allows people to save money on marketing due to the easy access of billions of people.

YouTube allows you to stay up to date with other users and can help you to meet other users as well.

Cons

YouTube account is public so it allows different people to access your uploads.

Explicit videos that can be viewed by different people.

There are some violent and abusive videos that various people can access.

There could be copy right issues.

All most anyone can post a video that has different natures.

Final cut pro

Final cut pro was used to edit our footage we used numerous effects to enhance the codes and conventions of our thriller opening.

Pros

Final cut pro is fast allowing you to edit videos’ quicker and more effective.

The software is installed in Mac computer so you don’t have to purchase the software yourself.

Cons

The software is only available on Mac computers.

Can be difficult to use if you haven’t used the software before.

Adobe Photoshop CS6

Photoshop CS6 was used to make our production logo.

Pros

Professional application for photo editing, graphic design and digital imagining.

Background save and auto- recovery features prevents data from being lost.

Adobe Mercury Graphics engine improves the speed of the software and the performance of the tools.

Photoshop has a great layout and makes it easy to use.

Cons

Can be very expensive to buy for some.

Buyers may not want to spend more to be able to access further features.

Maybe confusing to use if you are a beginner.

A graphic card is required to get performance benefits from Photoshop

Blogger

Blogger was used to update the progress that we had made throughout shooting our thriller opening, and also was used to update that research that we had done into thriller openings.

Pro’s

Easy to use and the signing up process is quick.

Blogger allows you to focus on content.

Blogger has an automatic generation of site usability features

Bloggers are able to upload content quick and easy.

Cons

The software is very limited.

If mistakes are made while posting to your blog once you save the post the mistakes are automatically live.

You are not able to use the site when it is being upgraded.

Difficult for newcomers to redesign the site.

Slideshare

Slideshare was used to convert word documents and Power Point, into a format that could be seen clearly on our blogs.

Pros

Gives clear instruction on how to embed items onto blogger

Sometimes may take a while to upload documents

If not set to private people are allowed to view what you have uploaded.

Cons

The user is limited to what they can do on slideshare

Have to sign up in order to use the service

The layout can be confusing at times

Imovie

Imovie was used in order to record videos’ of both of us talking, about different matters’ associated with our thriller opening.

Pros

Easy to import and export projects

Fast and dependable

Has lots of effects that can be used

Cons

Can be difficult to get your head around if you are new to the software.

Works only on apple devices

May have to pay for it on other apple devices such as iphone and ipads
