A film distributor is a company or an individual person responsible for the marketing of a film. The distributor will be in charge of the process for when the film is made available for viewing and may also set the release date of the film (directly to the public either theatrically or for home viewing). A limited distributor may deal only with particular products, such as DVDs or Blu-ray, or may act in a particular country or market.

For our opening sequence, we have chosen two media institutions to distribute our film. The first institution is Warner Bros. Pictures

We have chosen Warner Bros. Pictures as one of our institutions because it is so well known for its big action/adventure films and would fit perfectly with our film in terms of style and distribution.

They are well known for many film genres but the main one is Action/Adventure with films such as Harry Potter, Terminator, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and hundreds more.

The second institution that we have chosen for our opening sequence is Legendary Pictures.

This company concluded an agreement to co-produce and co-finance films with Warner Bros in 2005 and have been doing so ever since.

These production companies go hand in hand with each other, which means that Legendary Pictures suits our film for the exact same reasons as Warner Bros. does.
