What kind of Media institution might distribute your media product and why?

One of the media institutions that might distribute my film could be Universal. The reason why I chose Universal is because they release films wide world which means that a wide audience would be able to watch my film. Therefore by distributing the film worldwide, this means that the distributors would make a lot of money as it would be shown at a lot of place.

Universal

British Lion

If the film was made between 1919 and 1976, then the film would have been distributed by British Lion Films.The reason why I chose British Lion Films is because they were a big distributer between 1919 and 1976. They mainly distributed black and white films, as my film is black and white I think that it would have fit in with the distributors. Also as my film is set around the 1950’s this means that it would fit in with the time in which they were distributing.

Paramount

Another institution that might distribute my film could be paramount.The reason why I chose paramount is because they distribute lots of films which means that there is a wide audience, this means if my film was distributed by them then lots of people would see it. In the past they have distributed some film noir films, this means that they might like my film as it is film noir.

Conclusion

Although all of these distributors could distribute the film. Overall I think that Universal would distribute my film as it is a world wide distributor and they have distributed these kind of films before.
