This article provides information on how to create and use the Microsoft Media Creation Tool.

This process requires another PC with internet access, and a USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of storage space. The data on the USB flash drive will be erased to create the Windows 10 bootable flash drive.

PART 1

Creating the Windows 10 USB flash drive1. Visit the Microsoft Media Creation Tool website

2. Click Download Tool Now.

3. Save the Application.

4. Plug your USB Flash Drive into the PC where you saved the application.

5. Run the Application.

6. Accept the User Account Control and EULA

7. Select Create installation media for another PC and click Next.

Choose the correct settings for your version of Windows 10

8. Click Next.

9. Select USB Flash Drive and click Next.

10. The Application will now download Windows 10 onto the USB stick and make it bootable. This process will take about 45 minutes, depending on the speed of your internet connection.

PART 2Installing Windows

Once you’ve created installation media, you’ll need to insert it into the PC you want to install Windows 10 on. You then boot from the installation media. This may require modifying the boot order in your PC’s BIOS or UEFI firmware.

If Your doing a clean install and don't want to keep any old filesselect DELETE for each partition listed then click NEW to create

a new single partition. Windows Installer will create otherpartitions as required.
